View Full Version : Increasing volume on Acer Aspire One

I just got an Acer Aspire One net book computer for my travels, but the volume is way to quiet! It runs Windows XP Home Edition and I have gone through the operating system to find all of the volume controls, they are up to the top!
What I need is a program that will take the volume of anything (weather it'd be Google Chrome or VLC ect) and increase it! I don't want to have to plug in headphones or external speakers.
Thanks for your help!

Tried that. I need some software that will artificially boost the volume.

Thanks for that but on the "Power Mixer" program I can't seem to be able to boost the volume. By the way, I have exchanged the Acer for a Advent 4211 10" netbook, but the speakers are still to quiet. A friend also has the Asus EEE 1000H and would like to do it on there.
If you could point me out how to boost the volume from Power Mixer, i'd be very grateful.
Thanks.

It is pretty quiet on the Acer, that's for sure.
The only solution I can be frankly happy with is by using headphones.

Do you know of any volume-boosting software that can boost the volume of my speakers and maybe add a little bass?
Thanks!

Have just found this (http://www.fxsound.com/dfx/index.php?vendor=15&subvendor=1&plus=0&refer=dfx8). Seems to work well.
