I think we should have a section for people to post things they're selling on places like ebay, gumtree etc. I posted a few of my things recently, and I see someone else posted his. I think if we had this it would be a popular section of the forum.

Anyway.. thats all I had to say :D

Personally I think the Forum would be underused. If people want these things they will go to the sites you have mentioned and search them. Nice suggestion though :).

It would mean more, stronger moderation to keep those vulnerable users safe from scams and it would attract unwanted attention to the forum, just imo.

My parents have actually only just bought one, very similar to yours aswell. I would of told them about it if they hadn't already bought one. But we might be getting some more fish which means another tank or just a bigger tank. So we might end up buying it. :)

Yeh, the chance of me seeing something in a trading section that would make me think "oh I could do with one of those" is quite low, I would just go to Ebay if I wanted something. Nice idea though. :)
