Oh my Lord.
A manager loses a match and he's sacked. I feel sorry for the next guy who takes over at Stamford Bridge.

He had to go really. There's nothing there for Chelsea. Playing very bad and drawing at home to too many teams. Drogba should really be playing ahead of Anelka and the next manager will have to realise that.

First things first, it had to be done. He wasn't good enough and the last few months has been the worst in the Abramovich era.
I would starting question the board and their capabilities of selecting managers. Grant wasn't a success, and now Scolari. Sort it out. I think it's probably the right decision, even though it's quite a surprise. If we had held onto Scolari until the end of the season, I still think we would have finished in the top four, which isn't a disaster once in a while but by our recent standards, we should be doing better. It really does emphasise the expectations of the board, which could be a problem come approaching top managers who demand time, and can afford to turn the job down. I don't think Scolari, nor any of his backroom staff knew the Premiership well enough. Steve Clarke was important to keep, but the only issue is that we didn't find a suitable replacement, if we found one at all. It just seems like Wilkins deals with all the PR stuff and possibly the language barrier at times, rather than having an active role and say in what goes on. I do feel a little sorry for him, as he didn't have the resources to match up to those high expectations. He wasn't given anything to spend in January, unlike Grant who was given money for both Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka. So in that sense, they shouldn't have expected as much.
It all seems as this is happening again and again. The shock of losing your manager, then all the talk of the replacement. But it is KEY we hire someone else by the Watford game, as someone like Wilkins couldn't possibly manage us. Him leading our team is in one word, a disaster. We should dismiss him as well. In terms of a replacement, where do I start...
In the summer we took a risk hiring Scolari. A risk that didn't pay off because of his lack of top flight managerial experience. Everyone kept going on about his world cup winning team, but we are not competeing in the world cup any time soon. Of course the one everyone will be saying is Gianfranco Zola. But for me, it's too early and too much of a risk again. With no experience in the Europe managing, and this being his first year of proper club management we can't afford to be taking any more of them risks. I would love him back here as a manager in the future, but the time has got to be right for him, and us. I wouldn't like him to turn into a hate figure here after argueably being one of the best ever players here. The replacement must be able to offer us stability, and help excel us in the FA Cup and most importantly the Champions League. Therefore, a top class coach, one with bags of experience and a proven track record at top European clubs we require. Someone like Rikjaard or Mancini would be high up on my list.
Bit of a shambles our club is at the moment with all the appointments, sackings etc in recent years. We need some continuity and the board simply cannot afford to make any more errors with managers.
(Please note I copied and pasted this from a post that I did on a football forum, rather then here originally as it gains more responses over there)

Unsuccessful in terms of that he got sacked after a few months in charge. Hope it's not Grant/Hiddink taking us over as well. Groan.

That's one supporter out of how many? Don't listen to just the minority.
I don't want Zola or Di Matteo here, yet. They're too big of a risk with both of them not managing at Champions League level yet. We have a fantastic relationship with both of them, and because of their inexperience as managers, that could go down the drain in a few years if we opt to go down that line. Like I said earlier, it's when both us and Zola are ready, then I would love to take him.

wish i mean :(
I'd rather have Scolari than hughes imo. Scolari would be better at handling the players of Robinho and Jo who have in some minds not played as well as people thought.
