katy perry always sounds bad.

highlight of the night was definitely the performance of "swagger like us" and m.i.a. being absurdly pregnant. this was the first year i watched the grammys cause for some reason they decided to be actually relevant this time instead of giving awards to washed up musicians they overlooked in the past. but even this time some of the stupidest winners were chosen. but whatever, at least there were a handful of good performances.

yeah that was an awsome performance.

but come on, the man and the woman who are playing now didn't deserve was it record of the year and something else? come on!!

grammys has been a joke for years tbh.

the man playing is robert plant, of led zeppelin fame, jsyk. but the grammys have ALWAYS been a joke. its just the recording industry congratulating itself and the people who made them lots of money. this is the only year that the grammys have been even slightly relevant. usually (and still, apparently, as we see with robert plant & alison krauss) they give awards to old washed up artists who were overlooked in the past for whatever reason but still come out with albums.

the guys who wrote "afternoon delight" won a grammy. i think that's proof enough of it's absurdity.

yeah. kanye west for example who has 12 grammys (only been going for like 6 years) is just stupid!!! i like his music, but there is NO WAY he deserves 12 lmao. i just watch the grammys for the performances really as there are always a few good ones.

ne-yo deserved that grammy that the song "stay" won, closer was x100 better!!!!

the only highlight of the evening was swagger like us, dead and gone by t.i and jt, and katy perry prancing around on stage with hardly nothing on and giant strawberrys in the background.

radiohead were sweeeet.

also- why is katy perry famous?
if you can't sing all that well it's ok if you write your own music and that, but she doesn't? and she's not that attractive..

yeah radiohead was pretty good, though a bit odd only seeing two of them haha.

and i thought the same thing. i mean, you have to have at least one of several things to be a pop singer: a good voice, a quirky personality, or attractiveness. and shes got none of the above :/ i dont get the fascination. not to mention that new single of hers "hot n cold" or whatever has to be one of the worst pop songs ive heard in years. which is saying quite a bit. the lyrics are terrible, its not even the slightest bit catchy and its predictable even to pop standards.

yeah, i noticed that! but the band really added to the song.

katy perry surely must have some strong contacts to have got into the buisness. or maybe award ceremony performances just make her voice sound weak...
