It will begin airing on the 4th of April. Theres actually no need to watch the first series of FMA since the second one isn't a sequel.
First ones still good even if it splits off from the manga.

and good is just a huge understatement.

You have plently of time Jord, it'll take them about a year to dub it anyway. Thats if it isnt a huge collosal failure, then you'll probably never see it.

It'll get dubbed even if it is a failure, which it won't be.

How do you know? Some anime series get dubbed extremely fast. Kurokami is even dubbed and aired simultaneously in America as it is in Japan (the American dubbers dub it the same time as the Japanese dubbers). Plus a lot of the old voice cast from the first series should return, so they shouldn't have to go about choosing new people or holding auditions. I think it's pretty safe to say that Full Metal Alchemist has worldwide recognition, and dubbing really isn't a long process at all. It shouldn't take that long.
i hope to god they choose the same cast for the dub, i loved them all.
omg it makes me wanna watch it again D:
Thanks chris And I want to watch it all again to remember their names and everything else thats happened :P
And it seems paul always wants to start fights in my anime threads -.-
I like dubbed get over it

Im not starting a fight, I said the dub would take over a year to sub.
It actually will, it takes about 10-12 months for the whole series to come out then the anime has to be licensed, they have to get the dubbing cast, studio etc.
The anime was broadcast on the Mainichi Broadcasting System (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainichi_Broadcasting_System), TBS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Broadcasting_System), and Animax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animax) in Japan from October 4, 2003 to October 2, 2004,[21] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_Alchemist#cite_note-20) with a 6.8 percent television viewership rating.[22] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_Alchemist#cite_note-rank-21) The English dubbed version of the anime was produced by Funimation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funimation_Entertainment) and debuted on the Adult Swim (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Swim) block of the United States cable channel Cartoon Network (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartoon_Network) on November 6, 2004.[ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_Alchemist#cite_note-22)

Yea but because its funi doing the dub a year wait isnt that bad. Least there will be a decent dub not a rushed one. And since its Funi doing the dub it will get released with a decent dvd. 13 eps instead of the old FMA 4 eps

They pronouce Sakura wrong
Japanese - Sah-koora
English - Sakura

Well out of all the anime I have seen with characters named Sakura they have all prenouced it as sa-kura - and that's in Japanese by the way. But I wouldn't be surprised if they prenouced the names wrong. It happens in pretty much every dub. Especially in Ghost in the Shell... it kills me. American's just don't sound right saying Japanese names.
Thats how the dub one says it
And Nar-ut-o
PaulMacC

They also pronouce Naruto wrong.
They say it super fast like Narooto.

Nar-u-toe isn't how you prenouce Naruto! It's na-ru-toe! Damn you, dubbers! Damn you!
