Funds to run the company are low so we are looking for volunteer staff with pay likely in the future.

The job just involves with updating the site with the latest News articles from across all the sectors.

As serious as you can get, I am working day in day out with a president of the company, as soon as we find enough funds the company will be expanding.

I have contacted the Intellectual Property Office of the UK, and they said that you can reserve the rights for all your content for as long as you want. I have taken the precautions.

It's a good looking site by the way, but there isn't a niche audience of the site and the market is saturated for this type of site - think about that for your next 'board meeting' because your site will just fizzle out if you don't specify an audience and/or have a proper business plan.

I dont want to pick too much, but your claiming its a company, but for some reason i doubt it is registered as a company etc, I apgoloise if you are, But im sick of people on this forum claiming they have companies when they dont.

You only have to register a company if it's a Inc. but if you are a sole trader then you are welcome to call it a company. If the company is registered with the government then it'll be protected, but there is no obligation to register the company to be an actual company.

The difference between a 'company' and a LIMITED COMPANY is that the directors of the company have LIMITED LIABILITY, meaning if the company goes bust suppliers cannot chase down the directors for money.

In the UK there is no need to pay tax on the money we earn, the money we earn is solely ads.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're not required to pay tax on income unless your business turns £60K+ a year which I doubt this one does at the moment :P

Not sure, I know it's under 5k for earnings. Not sure about companies but still, it has to be a registered company in order to actually accept funding, right?

No, only limited companies need to be registered. And in the UK there is no law for paying tax on a company which solely earns from Advertising. In the US however there is a law to pay tax for any earning. Fortunately I am not from the US.
