I actually really liked it. It wasn't a great choice for an opening episode but I found it quite moving. What I liked about the 1st and 2nd series is that they had an equal balance of the fun aspect of skins and the heavy emotional side, whereas I found last series was just a bit too superficial. Hopefully they'll get the right balance this series :)

i've been re-watching the first 2 series this week and forgot how much better the first cast were. the characters were actually likeable, real people. there isn't a character remotely as funny or interesting as chris in series 3/4

yh series 1+2 are way better but i still really liked series 3 just not as much. the characters from the 1st gen were so much better and as already said much more likeable but i still enjoy it.

series 4 hasnt got off to a great start but i think episode 2 was way better than 1.
