The Simpsons will make the transition to high definition later this month on Fox in the US and Sky1 HD in the UK.

The long-running series is now midway through its 20th season, and the first episode to air in native 720p will go out in the States on February 15 at 8pm and in the UK on February 22 at 7pm. Titled "Take My Life, Please", the episode presents a look at how Homer's life might have turned out had he been elected class president in high school.

The episode will be the first time any Simpsons content has been made available in HD since 2007's The Simpsons Movie, which has since been released on blu-ray in 1080p.

It's only that long because of the couch scene which changes with each episode -.-

Other than that, it's more of an updated one rather than a brand new one, looks a lot better though :)

Ye they kept the same ideas but made it neater and put more to it. Also at some points the places don't magically change it sort of moves over there. I like how they sort of show all the characters like in the movie.
Also yer, longest couch gag is probably the one with the evolution, homer goes forward and moe went back :L

This one made me lol when he doesnt run he gets hit through! :D I find this one much funnier compared to the last one.

I REALLY HATE THE TV AT THE END THOUGH!

Did anyone notice the picture of homer in barts class and 'bleeding gums' murphy in lisas class unless it was in the old one and I didn't notice, but I'm sure it's not.

Yes they did, that was abck before season 2 where bart took the bus sign. they changed it to include chief wiggum back in season 2 - Bart the Genius.

Very nice, too long tho.

It's actually only around one minute long excluding the couch gag. The couch gag took up half of the intro, and that will obviously change with every episode. So it's actually a decent length.
