I'm thinking of applying for a job there.

What is it like? Pay? etc?

Thanks!

I work there, on the checkouts. Think I get £4.54 an hour, something like that :] Which isn't bad considering all I have to do is sit there and pass items through a till. It's also a nice place to work, the management and staff are really nice. You should apply.

I worked there for like two shifts. It was boring as, I always had to work in the cold section and it hurt my hands and most of the people were 10x my age.

But yeah, go for it.

Our Asda only take 18+ or 17+ if you can work full time. My mate works in Sainsburys and loves it and never shuts up about it

I hate it when people say they hate their job because it's boring but never try and do anything to make it fun. I work in Burger King for £4.65 an hour, it's a stressful job but we always make sure we have a laugh whilste working to make our shifts bareable.

Beggers can't be choosers! The ideal time for part time work is just before christmas but that seems to have passed now.

It may be a long few months!

When you're under 18 they can pay you whatever you like. I wouldn't get out of bed for £4.54 an hour tbh, but I guess if you need the money go for it.

I started on that (work part time at BHS).
Its boring as hell but theres some alright lasses there, liven it up a little.

Sainsbury's take people online, so I'd just keep checking that as a start.

Take any job you can, they're kinda hard to get these days. Having already had 3 jobs before you've turned 17 is kinda bad. It kind of makes me wonder if your even committed to a job, if you can't commit yourself to a job then no one is going to employ you.

I'm at Tesco for £5.45 an hour, £8.18 on Sundays, goes up to £6.50/£9.75 when I turn 18 in May and to be fair, it's an amazing job - awesome people, good management, I get dumped with running the department on Sundays but it's all good practice like. Ours is quite a small store so it's really hard to get jobs but it's really tight and everyone knows each other so I can't really say what it'd be like at a bigger store.

If you got a Somerfield near ya, gaurenteed pay of £5.73, good wage for a 16 y/o.
But they do their payment on positions, not age. So don't stick around much after 18 unless you wanna go higher!

I wouldn't work for £3.75/hr.

On the other hand it shows she has had experience in 2 or 3 different areas of work and customers.
I'd see if there's positions on Sainbury's website if you haven't already or any other place actually (yes in general :P). Good luck anyway I guess :)
