You confused me a little because you said there are two seperate parts, does that mean there are two separate books or its just two different times in one book. I got told the last book is not the best, I got told Rowling was going to fast and rushed it. Cant wait till its out on DVD. -cough downloads

nope after half blood prince there's one book which isn't that long but the film for it is going to be out in 2 parts so one part in 2009 and one in 2010 y'see? i think the last book is rly good actually:O one of my faves :)

Half Blood Prince isn't out in the cinema until July 17th, and it won't be out on DVD until like a few months after. :S

Potter wasn't moved because of Twilight; you'll see in how much money each film has made that any Potter film would of kicked Twilight's behind. It was moved because of the writer's strike. The writer's strike meant that no major films for Warner Brothers would be released in 2009; meaning a fall in profits/shares/etc which isn't good with the credit crunch.

So instead of releasing two major blockbusters in 2008 (The Dark Knight and Half Blood Prince) they moved HBP next year so the money was spread equally over two years rather all in 2008.

Twilight is crap :P

I wish they'd moved The Dark Night instead. But I guess there's one upside, there's less of a wait until the first part of the last film. :)
I think they chose to keep The Dark Knight because it might have been considered an insult to Heath Ledgers family (if they delayed it) and because it probably would have grossed more seeing as it was Ledgers last film

I don't think the ending was too quick at all, the whole conversation between Harry and Voldemort was about three pages long - and I remember I was itching to find out what happened next. The actual battle itself though had to be quick, because they couldn't duel since the elder wand belonged to Harry meaning the duel would've killed Voldemort anyway.

They're releasing it close to the date that the Dark Knight was released hoping to make a lot of money like Dark Knight did but the only reason that movie was a bigger success than it should have was because Heath Ledger was it

Thats true , i haven't read the books but listened to them (its the same thing, really!).. I loved the conversation they had, was pretty cool :D!
