Some songs about god and ****.
We had one called 'Walk in the Light' and everyone kept going WalKKKKKKKKKKKKK and put alot of emphasis on the K to annoy our headteacher. Eventually he just had enough and he gave us 5 seconds to get all of the "K's" out of our system :rolleyes:.

there was one about newspapers
one about autum mornings

and there was this one we learnt in year 5 by John lenon that went:
"We are a rock revolving,
around a golden sun,
we are a billion children rolled into one,
but when I think about the hole in the sky,
salt water wells in my eyes"

and we completely hated it so we decided to sing:
"We are a rock revolving,
around a golden bum,
we are a billion children rolled into none,
but when I think about the hole in my pie
spit water wells in my eyes"

what a classic. Once we got the whole of years 5 and 6 singing it.

There was one about a magic penny or something, then there was another one that was about a silver trumpet. Thinking about all these crappy songs they used to make us sing is making me cringe.

There was another one we used to sing about a lighthouse, and there was one that went 'When I needed a neighbour were you there, were you there' or something. There was another, I can't remember what it was, but it was used on an advert, I think for Ambrosia, but with the words changed, and our teacher used to get angry for us singing it with the words from the advert.

:o I remember that one! Love is like a magic penny, hold it tight and you won't have any...

Anyway, ours were mainly just jesus songs, cliff richard (mistletoe and wine), and a lovely song about a man with a plank in his eye.

Just the Australian national anthem (Advance Australia Fair)

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Far too many. I remember in infant school there was one in a completely different language which made no sense whatever, must've been some weird psychological crap to hypontise us into being good kids or something. I think the first word of the chorus was "hexacolowikchawoli" or something

I went to a C of E school so we had to sing Hymns which was such a drag and I got in trouble off the headmaster for saying I didn't like singing them :). In secondarty school, we didn't have to sing anything just sit there and listen to our head complain about making a mess and making noises in the library.

The one about "he had the whole world in his hands" and some others I cannot remember.

all jesus songs

"the whole wide world, in our hands..."

All the above. Reading this thread, it's kind of funny that all songs you sing are mostly influenced by some sort of religion. Brainwashing morons.
