I was very disappointed tht Coldplay did not win a single award I mean come on at least they write their own music!

Although Duffy is alright I guess but still i think the BRITS was a bit poor this year....

actualy i think your right i may have got confused a bit there i know that they deffinetly recorded the video for the song fix you live and they only made one real mistake in that right at the very end...

they did also record an album version live which they then gave a way for free but your right that wasnt any of their best hits

girls aloud were as average as usual (exc. sarah & nicola who hold it together), ting tings and estelle were alright (the end was good), and the pet shop boys were boring (there was no point of gaga when that killers idiot screeched over the top of her)

i agree the brits are getting worse each year it was a very big let down this year although what can u expect from the music industry when it is in such a state? Gaga and the killers front man were just sparre parts but what have the pet shop boys actually done for music in the recent years?

tbh the music industry isn't in that bad of a state, true sales are going down but that's got nothing to do with the brits being able to put on a good show and chose deserving winners.

there were numerous people in the audience who could have performed but didn't - i'm pretty sure some of them would have even done it for free to get some promo if the award show's budget was low.

the people backstage need a kick up the ass

the thing is it isnt reli record sales that make the artists money. most of the artist's income comes from live gigs and things the record sales just make the record companies money and the artists mininmal income.

anymore attempts at trying to contradict me because you don't like my opinion on rihanna? i was talking about album sales, and it doesn't really make a difference if single sales are going up because the 50p from each extra track sold is unlikely to cover the cost of the missing album sales.

oh and album sales are in a mess as for the first time ever the other week no album sold a 6 digit number worldwide, but they are improving, e.g. lilys album sold over 100k last week in the uk which is massive, although i know that's kinda like an anomaly right now

yeah and what's the likelihood that every single artist in the US is going to sell 2-3million downloads of one single song? not likely and even then the label would make hardly anything in comparison to having 2-3million album sales. you could sell a million downloads and the label would probably make only $500k, and then take away promotion costs for advertisement, video budget etc.

you sell a million albums and they're making $6-8+ a copy, that's at least $6-8+ million in their pocket.

..and i said album sales were decreasing? hence my point, no?

LOL the thing is right i don't really like Coldplay anyway and i didn't NOT like them in the first place to be honest. I'm pretty much glad they didn't way so i'm not really that bothered as the person said there pretty much crap live so... you know the other acts who won on that current list deserved the win for likes of Duffy, Elbow and bands that like and if Coldplay turn upto the BRIT Awards 2010 next year well err... the public are not obviously going to vote for them LOL.

I also really hpe that Noel or whatever his name was got attacked on that stage that would be so great anyway ( Yeah i'm harsh apprently ) :rolleyes: but anyway well done to the bands/acts that won and i hope Coldplay spilt as i am not really keen on this band/act to be honest basically just because they was showing off in stage infront of like 20000 people in the studio and embressing loads on natinal television...
