Multi-Touch comes to MacBook. The smooth, spacious glass trackpad is designed to give you more room for your fingers — and more functionality with Multi-Touch gestures. And since the entire trackpad doubles as the button, you can comfortably click anywhere.
Quite like it but it's a shame about the price tag.

Looks very good, but I doubt it will be a great hit due to it's size. Only if it's cheap then it would to some people.

I have a 9" MSI WIND, and it's way better, I sold my old 15" laptop, and my desktop PC as I didn't use them any more due to the fact that the netbook was just over all a better experience to use.
The 13" seems like a good size, in between netbook size and average laptop size.
Nice.

13 inch sounds alright yeah... The Nvidia card and all that also makes it interesting, however it's hard to say whether it's a netbook or not. There's alot of debate about that. :S

Well, it's the newest. It's not exactly new any more... using 'new' as a relative term.

What is wrong with its size? It's a perfect size, and a hit with students. I've got an older white MacBook from October '07, but there are many, many MacBooks (old and new) in lectures.

It's not a netbook. Apple don't have a netbook; only notebooks. The problem if they released one would be that it would overlap with the MacBook Air. I believe some people would prefer a tablet to be Apple's equivalent of a netbook. Even the base model MacBook could not be considered to be a netbook.

There are rumors of Apple making a netbook, but they are ONLY rumors.

They are rumours with many doubters – mainly for the reason I posted above. Apple would have to market it in such a way that it didn't overlap the ultra-portable nature of the MacBook Air (a high-end product)... leading some people to think that Apple would take a more revolutionary move and release 7" tablet instead of 7" netbook.
It makes no difference to me because the ordinary MacBooks are small and light enough to be portable. It still would be interesting to see what Apple do. I'll be looking to upgrade in a year and a half or so... impress me over the next year, Apple!

Surely it's a laptop, with the power behind it? Netbooks are usually small, lightweight and only used for basic browsing and functionality? This has a powerful graphics card and probably a powerful CPU (Ooo, look at me getting geeky! :P).

You can't call the MacBook a netbook, on any form.

Of course, I'll take some in a bit, cba getting up at the moment.
The multi-touch trackpad with no button is amazing. The trackpad is a button but I don't click it I just tap it. I love four finger expose and three finger back/forward oh and two finger scrolling. It all rocks.
