Isn't that because that episode was filmed around the time she went in Big Brother? They should be filming later ones now, perhaps she's out of hospital now if she doesn't die, or maybe they're cutting her off permanently.

Did you know that the Carl from series 4+ isn't the same Carl as the original three series? It's his identical twin who replaced him when the original Carl couldn't committ due to Emmerdale's shooting schedule.

Wrong. Elliot (current Carl) and Luke (from Emmerdale) shared the acting duty during the first season and Elliot took over completely from series two. :)
