View Full Version : Health Problems
So I've been quite ill for the last 4 days.
I've been suffering constant nausea, dizziness, tiredness, hunger and last night I had a temperature which went away after a few hours. I've had some neck and back pain too.
I've felt a bit off for just over a month now, but not as sick as this. Just before Christmas I had kidney problems and around new years I had the same kidney problems where I was told it could be cancer but have since been told it's not.
I'm hesitant to go to the doctor because the symptoms aren't all at once and they come and go a lot and then I feel fine. Any ideas on what it could be and ways to help it? If I'm not feeling right by Monday I'll be seeing a doctor.

I suggest you visit the doctor as soon as possible but you may have caught the norovirus? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norovirus#Signs_and_symptoms) The symptoms are;
The disease is usually self-limiting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-limiting_(biology)), and characterised by nausea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nausea), vomiting, diarrhea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diarrhea), and abdominal pain; and in some cases, loss of taste. General lethargy, weakness, muscle aches, headache, and low-grade fever may occur. Symptoms may persist for several days and may become life-threatening in the young, the elderly, and the immune-compromised if dehydration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehydration) is ignored or not treated.[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norovirus#cite_note-pmid16968608-4) When a person becomes infected with norovirus, the virus begins to multiply within the small intestine. After approximately 1 to 2 days, norovirus symptoms can appear.
Its been out for a while but I'm not your best doctor ere, so I feel you should visit your doctor as soon as possible ;)

Although it may seem minor to be visiting the Doctor but if it it causing you discomfort on a regular basis and continuing to happen then you may need some anti-biotics. So i really would advise you go.

It doesn't really sound like Norovirus, but have you actually been sick?
Norovirus tends to only last a week at the very most.
I haven't had any vomiting, just a lot of nausea.
when i read about the nausea, diziness and tiredness i instantly thought of anemia but i do not know what would cause the other things.
i suggest maybe having a blood test, because i had the above symptoms so i had a test to see if anything was wrong (mostly thought of anemia) but they said i was fine.
hope that helped and i hope for the best for you :)
I've suffered from anaemia in the past, so that could have something to do with it. I can't believe I didn't think of that - thanks!

Be safe, and go and see your GP.
Thanks your post was really helpful..*cough
And I'm feeling a lot better now, must've just been some bug or something.
Gonna bump this to say, no I'm not.
I was at the Fall Out Boy concert tonight and I didn't even get to see them play. I saw Hey Monday and The All-American Rejects then had to leave because I feel horrible and sick and ugh.
