The "last" bag of Woolworths pic'n'mix is in line to be sold off for more than £13,000 on eBay.
More than 100 bids on the auction website have been made for the souvenir from the collapsed retail chain.
The 800g pic'n'mix bag contains fizzy cola bottles, rhubarb & custards, strawberry bon bons, Turkish delight, white mice, pineapple cubes, and many other favourite sweets.
Ed Adams, a Woolies store manager, snapped up the collector's item just before his shop closed for the last time.
He is auctioning the sweets to raise funds for Retail Trust, a charity for retail industry workers.
With less than nine hours to go to the deadline, the bag of sweets had attracted a price of £13,100 and 113 bids.
Mr Adams, who managed the Petts Wood branch in Kent, said: "I spotted at least a bag's worth of pic'n'mix was left in the counter just before I closed the shop for the last time.
"I then decided to bag it up before contacting Retail Trust to see if it could be auctioned on their behalf. I hope the auction raises funds to go towards the Retail Trust Helpline, which is a lifeline for retail workers and their families during these difficult times."
The bag has been officially certified by Woolworths' administrators, Deloitte, as the last one.
A spokesman said: "The administrators of Woolworths PLC have consented to the sale of this item for the benefit of Retail Trust. They are pleased to be supporting this worthwhile cause and hope the proceeds will make a difference to those workers helped by the charity."
Looks like it could go even higher :O

I'm worried. This Pic N Mix was not exclusive to Woolworths... it's just the paper bag which is different to other vendors of Candy King sweets. £13,000 for a bag? I wish I had silly amounts of disposable income like that...

But it's CandyKing stuff... which is maybe what he is getting at. Woolies Pic'n'Mix was no different to that at most supermarkets and cinemas – even the bags were the same except one logo. I think that was his point.

If you get 'Bookers' membership and go to a 'Bookers' Warehouse, you could get all that was in Woolworths Pic n' Mix plus more for quite a decent amount of money :P
Although it was for charity, just a bit of an odd auction :/

Pay £14,500 for 800g of sweets? What a great bargain he found himself there! ... Good luck to him selling that on. It's all good and that saying its for charity, but do you think the guy who purchased it bought it because of the charity? I don't, as he would have given that amount to charity already.
Complete and utter waste of money.

A celebrity probably bought them, as they're loaded with money and it's going to chairty, they fort they'd buy it, now they have some Pic'n'Mix to enjoy.

But that completely defeats my point in it going to charity. Whoever purchased it didn't go "oh why not, it's for charity", as don't you think they would have just donated the money already to charity?
If you ask me, the one who purchased this did it for fame and attention in the media.
are you telling me that you would rather donate something to charity for nothing in return.. or donate the same amount of money and get something in return, costing the charity nothing?

Is this where everyone starts running out to shops buying various pick'n'mix in hopes of the store going to administration? :D

it's not even a proper mix, it's a pre-mixed selection of sweets.

He'd pocket it if he had any sense!
Does the bag even say Woolworths anywhere on it? The bags were generic weren't they? There's a new chain of shops that is going to be the same as Woolworths with a slightly different name who will also sell pick 'n' mix.
