It's not even officially released until 30th March but in the last 48 hours it's raced into the top five on iTunes and is expected to be number three when it next updates which is due any time now. I'm proper happy for it too because no-one expected it to do this well in the UK. If it keeps this up it could easily chart at number three on Sunday and I think it could get number one the week after unless the Saturdays beat them with their comic relief single. :D

Australia is also the only country to have the single "Eh Eh" released. I loveeeee Lady Gaga, she's amazing. I like the Poker Face remixes and the acoustic version better than the original though.

Dead and Gone and Poker Face's popularity are almost identical but right now D&G is #4 and PF #5. KOL are dropping a lot as the Brit effect wears off so D&G and PF will be 3 and 4 soon.

Unfortunately I don't think it'll get to #1 eventually, maybe #2 - mainly because she's not doing promo now as it's released 30th March and also it's already sold like 50k in downloads and I think it'll just float around the top 5 for weeks without getting #1 :(

I think that "Love Story" will be a very fast burner and could start fizzle out by the end of the week leaving the number two spot up for grabs. Next weeks number one is pretty much guaranteed to be the The Saturdays "Just Can't Get Enough" because it's a comic relief single (although I think it's terrible). "Poker Face" could possibly get number one the week after because there aren't any big releases that week. You have to remember that "Poker Face" has done all this with no airplay, it has only just hit the music channels this week and I don't think it's started playing on the radio yet. When it starts receiving heavy rotation and more people start to hear it, it's downloads should increase further. Even if it doesn't get number one, it will definately have a very long chart run.

I think they should push forward the release of Poker Face if they want it to chart highly but there are still a lot of people who haven't heard it so as long as there isn't any big releases around the time of Poker Face it could still have a chance of getting number 1

Exactly, they should push it forward by three weeks so it's 9th March. Nothing big is being released that week and it still leaves another two and half weeks for the song to gain airplay and awareness. 30th March is like six weeks? It'll be starting to fall by then, surely. Record company's seem to be messing up releases a lot at the moment. Two very recent examples being: Britney Spears "Circus" and Beyonce "Single Ladies".

Nah I get mid-weeks from haven, if GaGa does promote it and it started picking up airplay I think it could get #1 week after sats but they might hold on, and when does the other comic relief single come out? the one with nessa and _____ from gavin and stacey.

The second comic relief single (Vanessa Jenkins & Bryn West (Ruth Jones & Rob Brydon) feat Sir Tom Jones & Robin Gibb – Barry Islands In The Stream) gets released a week after The Saturdays on 9th March so I guess they may well go to #1 that week seen as it's charity.

I haven't even heard that song yet... Maybe, just maybe "Poker Face" could go number one the week after that. It's unlikely but if it sells consistently like "Just Dance" did it could. "Poker Face" is still quite new in the UK in regards to how many people are actually aware of the song due to it only just being added to radio and music channels. I told my mate about it today and he was like "oh, I though Beautiful, Dirty, Rich was her next single". I guess we will have to wait and see. :D

Yeah although we've heard it and got bored of it, most people haven't heard it and it's fresh for them so hopefully they'll be out buying it :)

Oh and in almost all countries she's released JD and PF PF has done better in both it's peak and sales (although seen as JD has done so well here it might not continue that trend - but you never know KOL have had two really successful singles both selling 500k+ and GaGas album hasn't sold that much in the UK so people won't think oh i already have that)

Same happened to Katy Perry too! "Hot N Cold" rose up the charts ever so slowly, peaking at number 4 (I think). "Poker Face" will have a similar chart run to that although it should peak higher than "Hot N Cold" did. And then it will hang around for aaaages. It seems new artists are doing much better than returning ones. A good example of that would be Britney; "Circus" was expected to make the top three but peaked at a dismal thirteen (although some of the blame could be shifted onto Jive for totally screwing up the release). I'm already starting to predict how "Love Game" and "If U Seek Amy" will perform and I reckon they've both got a lot of potential worldwide. :D

We haven't, it's just been charting from album downloads. It's not actually officially release until March 30, 2009 although by that time it will have most certainly reached it's peak unless she does some massive promotion early April although that's highly unlikely.

Finally an interesting top #5, although none of them are british artists but I could see kelly making a bigger comeback compared to the other 4 songs and that's received a lot of promo compared to the others, as they have just came out and the most promo they've got is their music videos. Just get rid of use somebody, even the fear has been knocked off by 6 spots, and that's getting huge in US now. Also, singles who chart really well downloads alone and the release is a month away, the recording company tend to make the release date earlier. Do you reckon Just Dance will stay in top 10?

UK's official release date has been pushed back until 13th April (it was originally set to be 30th March).

I can understand why they've pushed it back; there are some huge releases in the next few weeks and they must be worried that it'll lose its steam in the meantime. I'm guessing that by the time it comes out it'll be in the lower end of the top ten/higher end of the teens. I think she'll do some promotion around 10th April in hopes that a spurt of downloads and physical sales will push her to number one.

Either way, she's now number three on iTunes and looks set to overtake Taylor before long. Only problem is, is The Saturdays will be moving up throughout the course of today and tomorrow and will probably push it back down by one.

I'm excited to see where she's going to chart today, however! It's going to be very close between herself and T.I.
