Most of it is common sense. When you do the hazard perception, click around 3 or 4 times when you see the hazard in the '1 hazard' clips, I found clicking a few times doing the hazard made me pass in the end as it registers the highest mark :)
And in the practical test you do get odd questions like that :P Just say you 'fill it up to the max level mark, and not anymore.' If it doesn't have a max level, just say 'just above' the metally bits,' but that's ages away :P
Some will catch you out but most are just obvious..
I revised quite a bit before mine.. well I got one in my test sayinh:
What do place names enable you to do? = Change lanes early, I would have never have knew that without revising..
I also got ones like what is the stopping distance is how many times greater in ice.
So to answer your question it is easy but i'd revise because questions could catch you out

got 42 1 below da pass mark LOL i nearly burst out laughing when i seen it

meh its alright for never looking at anything to do with it/revising init.

its easy if you revise abit, if you don't revise your most likely to fail, about 60% is common sense, the ones that will catch you out are the paperwork ones etc.
Very easy. Get a disc with every question in their database on and do them all. Go back to the ones you got wrong and learn them.
Something that my friend told me for learning estimated stopping distances:
For 20Mph multiple by 2 and increase by 0.5 each time to give the answer in feet.
20Mph * 2 = 40'
30Mph * 2.5 = 75'
40Mph * 3 = 120'
50Mph * 3.5 = 175'
60Mph * 4 = 240'
70Mph * 4.5 = 315'

If you fail your theory then you must have special needs tbh.
scottish
15-03-2009, 02:04 PM
Not really, cause if you don't look at the disk then you don't know the types of questions.
Also theres ones like how long before MOT etc which if your just learning to drive most people won't know until they look into it/read book/try disk etc. ;)

Which is why you keep using the disk until you know all the questions and answers - I got 3 wrong when I passed mine and there were about 3 questions I hadn't seen before. I could answer just about any question when it came to my test.

I passed my theory last week, first time. didnt have the disc, just a book that i looked at once or twice before i booked it, then read it for about half an hour before the test :p also done two practice tests the night before xD
got 47/50 and 65/75 :D
doing my practical when i get back from my holiday :)
It is easy (the written part) but the hazard perception can catch you out.
It might be a good idea to borrow someone's hazard perception dvd/cd-rom to get a feel for it first.
