anyone here about this, it was on the radio this morning.
boro sent letters to people who sit in the south-west corner saying they sing too loud during matches!
***?
they're in a relegation scrap and the fans aren't even allowed to sing!?

also, alves has been being booed every time he's came on so i hear.

This sort of thing probably makes people sing louder.

which is the sort of thing which will get the people who bring in the drums, banned. :)

It's not singing, it's banging the signs.

And they're only banging because the poor sods want to get out of the ground due to the dire football.

Oh right, still though - doesn't that help make an atmosphere?

No noise inside the ground please. It'll sound like bloody Old Trafford there if Boro' get their way.

OT isn't that bad just depends where you sit! Although away games are better. Its like that band Portsmouth have, except they built them a place not banned then!

Ye, always sounds better if you sit near the away fans.

LOL it is quite sad, maybe the players say it distracts them or something? However, they should be used to it playing at such a high level of football.

its so they dont damage the roof or something. which made me think, how is the riverside full to the roof?

It was because some fans with familys complained about the south east stand being too noisy, banging the plastic backing and singing rude chants. In my opinion, if you don't like noise then don't bother turning up. It's like turning up to the cinema and hoping to listen to the radio.

The letters were sent out by the safety steward called Sue something, Boro have obviously apologised for the letter and everything is back to normal. :)

talk about public humilation. at a tennis match the other day in dubai the crowd were told to be quiet and the commentator said it's turning into the riverside. :$
