What happend to Events?

They used to be posted in Calendar so you'd always know when evnets on when and it'd be posted daily in the "Habbox Today" section of habbox.com

now it just seems like its gone? nothing gets updated on calendar and last habbox today was on sunday?

shouldnt it like be updated every day as it used to be, as i highly doubt anyone on this forum is using the calendar to find out when mardi gra and such are taking place.

The only form of us knowing what events are on if they are on is when they are posting 15/30 mins before the event in announcements, and half the time it takes ages to get the event started due to a lack of people, probably as their not informed?

So yeah shouldnt managers be updating Calendar/HX Today or not? :S

I completely agree.
When me and David were managers of Events we made sure we were on top of it all the time, so as soon as an event was booked it would be put onto manager event planning calendar and the Official Habbox calendar.
Habbox Today was also updated all the time.

If it was updated, I might make time to go to more events tbh :P


BTW, No offence to Roxy / Lucy as I'm sure they are doing a good job, just publicising the event needs a boost.

I think at one point we tried getting it to be moved to Habbox front page to make it noticed/used more but nothing moved on from there :P!

The Habbox Competition and Events Calendar is going to be updated very soon :P I cannot say about HxToday though, that's more up to Roxy and Lucy.

With regards to Events, I would like to see more of the remaining 430 HCs that I donated used and I don't think any of the 500 credits I donated have yet been used either, as well as the 500 credits jrh2002 donated. Please make use of them else donating becomes rather pointless.

I think they were planned to be used for the big events such as Love week, Easter Eggstravaganza, Summer Spectacular, Habboxween, Christmas etc.
But I think more big events would be better as well as it would add more excitement to events instead of the normal day-to-day events that happens now.:)

We also used your HCs for the Christmas events and the Back to School events :)

Big events is fine, as long as they get used then that's excellent. I did read Love Week, some 400 credits were given as prizes, and since no names were mentioned of who donated, I can only assume they were not mine or jrh2002. As in the past donators always get mentioned, after all that's what also helps others to donate too. You have to speculate to accumulate ;)

I swear sammeth said in a thread they were Jhr's but we are planning other events soon where both of yours will be used. Also there is the HxSS which isn't that far away which is kinda scary since it seems like only yesterday when i was hosting my little events. Anyway your donations are greatly appreciated and used in the best way we feel they could be! I really don't mind how the donations are used, but I and jrh2002 would like to know when they are used, we don't need accounting to, just an acknowledgement of their usage, particularly when it's large amounts, it helps us to know they've been put to good use, and speaking for myself would donate again, if I could see that.

As you remind me every single time I log onto habbo, and every day on MSN, I am fully aware you don't yet have your prize however I have explained countless times why this is. It is my fault, and I do apologise and as I have said previously, you will get your prize.

As I have just said, I'm fully aware of the prize situation however it's not always as easy as it should be and you need to understand that although we try and deliver prizes ASAP, it's not always as simple as that. I appreciate your concern about me not doing my job though.

From what I am aware your donations are being used and we are very greatful for them. I think Sam offered to PM donators so they they know when their donations have been given away as you requested. :)

Yes there was because there was no need for you to personally attack someone in a thread which was only made to improve habbox. I was just saying what I saw which I have every right to do.
On a brighter note Lucy and Roxy have obviously taken this thread on board and are now going to do the calender so well done to them both! :)

Just as an update - the events calendar is currently being sorted out and revamped along with a lot of pages on the Habbox site. This would be sorted by now but I've had some permissions issues as of late. As for the HabboxToday announcement I agree and hopefully we can keep on top of HabboxToday from now on as from time to time it does get forgotten about unfortunately.

theres been about 4-5 events this week, none of which are on calendar... and every event has lasted 1-2 rounds then been completely empty due to people not know when there are events, this isn't helping..
