Probably for dramatic effect? They want to keep the ending in your head for a while.

I almost cried at like steph coming in, it was so sad :(

Maxine was a really good character it was quite funny when the police surrounded earl, I think they should have written in where he gets shot aswell because he tries to shoot a police officer, that'd be a good story line Earl Kelly dies

I think it's obvious what's going to happen to him :P.
Really couldn't believe that Maxine died, didn't expect that at all. Thought Steph was going to be shot tbh.
The school is still reeling after the murder of Maxine Barlow. Rachel feels responsible - the buck stops with her. She plans to resign with immediate effect. However, the shock revelation from Paul that the gun in the school at the start of term was Earl’s compels her to try and secure Denzil’s release before she goes. Elsewhere, realising that life is precious, Donte surprises Chlo with a romantic proposition and Eddie organises a surprise for Melissa. He’s organised a beach wedding in a tropical paradise – and they leave the following week…

you know when the seasons going to end because they tend to try to burn down the school lol. everytime ive watched a season the last one always tend to have some explosion or fire ripping through the school. like the end of last season where that guy who knew rachel mason flicked his ciggy and started the fire that got both of them trapped. and then the year before that where that druggie set fire to the school and tried to kill that guy jack was it and izzy (chloes mum) got in the way and got stabbed.

one thing waterloo road does do right is it sums up or country perfectly there are schoolkids running about with knives and guns even in a school. and half them porb have the sanity of earl kelly - not much

The druggie didn't set fire to the school - he just stabbed Izzy.
Lewis tried to set Jack on fire, though.

It's been aired, so it doesn't have to be spoilered I believe :P

I think the actor who plays Earl Kelly is excellent, he makes you hate him so much. The episode was horrific though, a few tears were seen :P

Meh, the fun is in how they died and by who. It's like hearing Steve and Becky (I think) on Coronation Street having a disaster wedding, the fun will be watching it, rather than hearing about it :P

I wonder if he gets attacked in real life :S Loads of these sorts of characters usually get abuse when they're in the street, by people who forget its fiction :P
