My computer broke so I had to get a new one. So far I hate Vista. On XP my Dazzle DVC100 capture card worked perfectly. I could record my games on Windows Movie Maker and upload them to Youtube. On Vista It tells me there's no video device plugged in. I downloaded the Pinnacle Studio 12 trial which is made by the company which made this capture card and it works. This is only a 15 day trial and I don't want to buy it when I could do something to make it work on movie maker. Also I used to stream my games using Adobe Flash Media Encoder. This also worked perfectly. Since I got this Vista it's only picking up the video and not the audio. So that's only half working.

I thought I would try it on my old XP laptop but my interent won't work on that even though it says connected and the signal strength is excellent.

By the way the DVC100 drivers are installed but everytime I use a different USB port it installs the drivers again. Is this normal?

Yeah I've got Studio 12 but I preferred making my videos on Windows Movie Maker on my XP because if I didn't like what I recorded I could just press cancel so it didn't save. Pinnacle Studio saves every video so I have to delete the ones I don't like manually.

I've tried downloading the Vista drivers from the Pinnacle website but still no luck. (I'm Vista 32-bit and I downloaded the Vista 32-bit drivers).

Picture but no sound etc is common with DVC 100, ask on justin.tv forums, they know how to solve it.

Ok. I'm still confused about why it only gets picked up on Flash Media Encoder and Pinnacle Studio. Also I just noticed something ridiculous about Pinnacle Studio. It made the video files really big. A 4 minute video was 1.04gb. I'm pretty sure this didn't happen when I used Windows Movie Maker.
