Hello,

As of last night, I have not been able to use my wi-fi on my iPod touch, When I go to settings, under wifi it displays a message saying "No Wi-Fi", And I cannot access the internet.

This is not due to no wireless networks being availible, As I'm right beside my modem, and I'm connected to it with my laptop now,

Reading up on it, It look's like it's a problem with the actual hardware, And I have to send it back?

Here's the problem, It's a 1G iPod touch, and I ran out of warrenty around christmas time.

Has anyone else experenced this problem, or have a fix for it? or is it definatly a hardware fault?

Thank you,

Kev

Have you tried clicking going into the wireless settings and clicking on 'other', then typing in the information? Or download the 'WiFinder' app and see if it shows up on there.

It wont show up anything.

I've tried restarting it, updating it, turning it on and off, I've done pretty much everything.

Even restored it on iTunes?

Also, im not sure about the iTouch but on the iPhone you get wifi allowance each month (unlimited usually) but it only lasts for a year... how long have you had it?

sam, Using wifi is free? They only say you get free wifi as a gimmick, You have to pay for broadband, but it's nothing to do with paying for wi-fi

And yes, I did it through itunes

You get 3G internet connection through the iPhone 3G (obviously) - iPod Touch does not support this.

But does have Wi-Fi connectivity, which is yes, free.
