If anyone using the application Mail, do you leave it running or not?

http://img.skitch.com/20090228-ffa4geyeffy3ndedi5p2jx719k.jpg

Personally I do to get the new e-mails, as I hate opening it and waiting for it to connect and get mail.

What about you?

Kyle!

Yeah I leave it open.

For some reason mine would never get my mails or send them so I just downloaded ThunderBird instead.

Don't use mail atm, never really need to.

I leave Windows Live Mail on Vista open.

Yeh, I leave mine open daily. It also automatically starts at system startup incase I forget to open it.

I leave Windows Live Mail on Vista open.

We're not talking about Vista, are you thick? This is the Apple & Macintosh section.

Nick.

This seems a bit of a pointless thread imo :S

Yes I do leave it open. It is always open when my Mac is on, it's my only startup item.

I know we're not talking about Vista, but since it's Apple related I said I do leave it open on Vista *Removed*

Haha, that's funny. I'm a "yank", when actually I'm from the south.. at least get some of your American insults right.. and we don't call them "yank(s)", we call them yankies.

I do eat McDonalds, every single day, and I weight 119lbs. Again, that part of your insult failed.

I do have "tonnes" (you mean tons) of Mountain Dew, I'm drinking it now. (I really don't see how that was "supposed" to be an insult.. you just couldn't think of nothing else?)

Of course I'm glued to my computer.. actually that would be illogical because the glue would wear off..

--------

I don't care if you ******* leave it open on Vista or not, this was about the Mail App on OS X (hence the ******* picture? I mean that could fill you in on something, but I guess your simple mind couldn't handle that (considering your laughable post above).

I guess someone hit a nerve, ha.

Don't go calling someone think when I was contributing to your thread, you asked do people leave their mail open, I said on Vista I do yes.

Good to see you commented on my other insults but not the downy part, it must be true! Good day ;)

You mean thick, not think. Correct? yes. correct. Maybe you're too thick to think?

You wasn't contributing to the thread, maybe with **** that I didn't care about.. I didn't ask leaving their mail, I asked if anyone leaved the actual OS X Mail application running.. hence the first post:

If anyone using the application Mail, do you leave it running or not?

I didn't ask..

Do you leave your mail application running or not?

I even posted a picture of the application and put it in the Apple & Macintosh section.

If I wanted to know about vista, I would have asked about it and put it somewhere else.

My point is proven, yes.. you are thick.

Good to see you commented on my other insults but not the downy part, it must be true! Good day ;)

The "downy" part was not there, you edited your post ;)

You wouldn't understand that anyway, considering you are not part of the D&D section.

Good day.

Reffer to my first post, it's still there, and congratulations on spotting my typo :)

Part of the D&D section lol I don't need to be a coder to post here, I can post here if I want, and instead of making another thread on the subject of do you leave your mail open, I said I do on Vista, so I think you'll find you're the thick one. ;) Correct? yes.

I never said you needed to be a coder to post anywhere.. I said you wouldn't understand my signature..

You're just proving to be thicker and thicker, and it's quite hilarious.

And why would you need to make another thread on the subject, when no one really cares about whether you leave it open on Vista or not.. what I cared about was if you left it open on OS X or not.. so I don't see why you would "post a new thread"?

You don't seem to get it, so it's just funny to watch you post all butthurt.

Nick.

Haha it's so easy to wind you up, don't let it all get to your head darling, and I wouldn't need to make a thread, that's why I posted it in here! :wink_blue

:Ocass14 Thanks for making my night, that was hilarious. :Sign10: :eusa_shif

@above. Digging yourself a deeper hole. Best to just leave, dont think you would want us coming into the bloody football forum or whatever it is your into and polluting that. Your just making yourself look stupid.

And nah, I prefer gMail and the web-based thing. Was not a fan of Mail, I moved from using it for RSS and email to fully web-based Google.

You're welcome into the Microsoft section anytime, I don't stop people posting where they wanna post :) And how am I digging a whole? He's the one that started the argument. I just thought I'd say "No I don't use Mail but I use Vista's Live Mail" but he's crying about it :(

I dont know man, I think he is trying to make it easier on everyone else with the whole 'mac forum' thing. If he was asking about Mail apps in general I imagine this would have been in the normal 'tech forum' bit, but its an easy mistake to make. I understand where your coming from though, I think its just got a bit out of hand for a insignificant situation. Cheer up lads lol. :)

Nah, it means I'm thick because I don't have OS X so instead of putting no I don't leave the app open as I don't have a Mac I said I do leave Windows Live Mail open on Vista ;) But anyway I'm not continueing the argument that Dentafrice started, I was just contributing to your question really "Do people leave Mail open" I know it's a certain app, but I do leave Windows Live Mail open and nor do I own a Mac!!

Nope, i prefer to keep Mail closed, i could be stuffed and prefer webmail clients.

Yes, I always leave it running. I receive emails too frequently to allow me to only check every other hour.

To be honest, I don't think he gives a damn whether you come from the south or not. Equally, he probably doesn't care what you associate with the word 'yank'. In the UK we generally associate Yank/Yankee with anyone of American origin.

Oh, and 'tonne' is perfectly acceptable. You don't need to correct him on that with your Americanisms.

And could you please stop thinking you are so high and mighty above everyone else? Seriously, it seems that you are the epitome of all knowledge and everyone else is ridiculously stupid. Newsflash: get your own house in order before throwing insults at others. If the grammar Nazis were on patrol, you would be hung.

1. You said "you just couldn't think of nothing else". To fight fire with fire, you meant "you just couldn't think of anything else".

2. "Glued" is a verb which could refer to any adhesive. This could include heat-resistant adhesive, and not just your little Pritt Stick.

Can you please stop calling people thick? Get your own house in order. Clearly your mind is too numb to realise that this thread is not for the slinging of insults, and you are the one who turned it into said slinging match.

Go and use your supposed intelligence somewhere useful. Leave innocent users of this forum alone.

I have it configuration for my GMail, but I don't see the point of having a mail client on a computer. What advantages does this give me over going to gmail.com to check my mail?

If you offended every last citizen of a country that was not the USA, I still would have made that post;).
