Soul Eater is still on going I think but it's only about 40 something episodes long thus far& I don't watch it so I couldn't guess how long it has to go.
Just watch Code Geass, it's 50 episodes long and is much better than Bleach or Naruto, even though it's a totally different format.

Yes it is but theres more to it than that. oda is a genius to be frank xD amazing plot twists. style is unique and all characters are likeable :)
You have to give it a chance tho like i did. i didnt like it at 1st and was like lol childish but youll get sucked into Oda's awesomeness.

Elfen Lied sickens me, and the BBFC sicken me for giving Elfen Lied a 15 but Paranoia Agent an 18. Are they dumb? Elfen Lied is actually quite disturbing in my opinion.
The best long anime is Gintama - no contest.
I hear you might want to check out Monster if you liked Death Note, that's 74 episodes long.
Hajime no Ippo is 74 episodes long and it's an anime about boxing, it's ******* awesome. Watch this scene here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WebDMtitufk) and you'll be hooked.
Prince of Tennis has 178 episodes, although I haven't seen it so I have no idea if it's good or not but I've heard good things.
Inuyasha has 167 episodes, aparrently the ending sucks.
As mentioned already, theres also Eyeshiled 21 which has 145 episodes. My friend has seen it and loves it.
Yuu Yuu Hakusho has 112 episodes, I heard that's good.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes has 110 episodes and is aparrently the best thing since sliced bread but I think it sucks.
Rurouni Kenshin has 95 episodes and is also aprrently one of the best series ever made. I've seen the OVA and though itv was alright. Didn't interest me enough to start the series, however.
Hikaru no Go has 75 episodes and I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's the anime adapted from a manga series of the same name by Takeshi Obata, who drew all of the art in the Death Note manga.
Yakitate!! Japan is a 69 episode long anime about bread. It's a comedy and it's bloody hilarious.

Paranoia Agent doesnt deserve an 18 lol.
Monster is good but not brilliant the plot is a bit slow starting but I enjoyed it.

Not only did they give it an 18, they also cut it... They cut out the attempted hanging suicide scene with the little girl and two men, even though that entire episode was intended to be comical. The branch broke and they fell down a hill for god sake. After cutting that out they still slapped an 18 on it. I don't really know why I'm complaining because it doesn't affect me but the BBFC really do make some stupid decisions.

It's an 18 like everywhere else though. Some bits are pretty graphic, like the in the classroom etc.

Yeah that scene is bloody disgusting. Hey, lets beat a dog to death with a flower pot and then explode from the inside. I don't get what people see in this anime, it's just... unwatchable by many standards. It's not like the story is any good, or the animation is above average or the characters are actually worth watching the show for either. It's all rubbish. What surprises me is that it's a huge hit with female fans... why is this!?

Probably because its 50/50. First half is the actual story, second is the numerous relationships occuring all over the place. Although there's only one noticeable male character which rules out Yaoi, which rules out 100% of girls imo. :8

If it did include even a little bit of yaoi... damn... I can't even begin to imagine the fan girls. Yaoi is taking over the world... it's scary. Very scary. Why doesn't yuri get the same attention? :P

I know it is lol. People just label it as childish but when they sit down and watch it they enjoy it xD When you get past Alabasta Arc. Thats a good time to sit and watch the 9 movies ( 8th Movie being a movie version of it ) Unless your not bothered about spoilers.. well. I actually saw a decent amount of episodes years ago when it was on TV, so believe me when I say I don't think it's an anime I could get into. :P

Only version thats been on tv is the 4kids version. which im not gonna get into but it cut scenes, cut arcs, changed script, Changed Music, Replaced Names, Replaced Weps with toys, Removed cigs for lolipops, Gave them crappy voices, Changed peoples skin colour...
No wonder you thought that, you have to watch the japanese version :) so until then you havent given it a chance because 4kids is EVIL

No wonder I thought that? The dub has nothing to do with what I think, seriously I've actually see a lot of One Piece and believe me - I don't think it's the kind of series I could get in to. I have given it a chance and I can tell it isn't my kinda thing. Nethertheless, I'll still watch a few more episodes to satisfy you... I have no intention of watching the entire thing though. I watch Bleach which is now past 200 episodes and Gintama which is a few episodes away from 150 - that's enough for me. :P I'm more of a normal length series person, and I'm also a ninja > pirates man.

Well I'm starting to get really put off by shounens. They're all the same thing but in a different setting, that's why I only tend to watch one or two otherwise they just piss me off. :P Soul Eater has been really annoying me lately, I'm actually glad is going to finish soon. I need to get a close friend something for his birthday and he's into anime too but atm I know he watches mainly shonens but he does like the other stuff I recommend to him. So the thing is I think I'll get him The Girl Who Leapt Through Time on DVD and see how he likes that. The question is do you think it's a good gift, I know it's hard to say when you don't know the person but yeh. Keep in mind he's not just some kid straight out of cartoon network who just wants to see fight scenes, he does share the same taste as me. Thoughts?

Zolo would be the English translation of Zoro. They did it in Utawarerumono as well, they called Eruruu Eluluu - it's Eruruu dammit!

what do you mean until they all finish? If your planning on carrying on and watching then you should rewatch the eps you just did in jp cos you just missed out on 3 important arcs.
Of course there gonna have pictures of zoro as zolo in google. Majority of OP fans in america were people who watched the 4kids dub. Its Zoro and the romanji for his name is spelt Zoro aswell.
And it was Viz actually who changed the name to Zolo because they didnt wanna get sued cos of Zoro the mexican guy or w.e he is lol.

Surely it's just a translation since there are no L's in the Japanese alphabet? When translating English to Japanese L's get changed to R's, and when translating Japanese to English R's get changed to L's.

OMG you were watching 4kids version and enjoyed. >_< The dub that takes over was funimation which is 10000x better than 4kids :S What you just watched wasn't one piece. They cut out Arcs, The music, Violence, Changed The story, Added terrible puns each time someone spoke. I thought you were watching the japanese version -.-

If 4Kid's ruined One Piece so bad, it makes me wonder if they did anything to Pokemon... my whole childhood has been a lie. I've been watching something totally different than it was intended to be!
Anyway I dont care if the jokes are bad, Its still something to entertain me.
and in that video they made mr.3 Jokes suck... Its the point of the episode..

No they didnt, they made jokes like that throughout all the episodes. And if it entertains you then you obviously dont like anime, you must like cbeebies or somethin like that

Terrible. Just terrible. There is no need. Kid's didn't know about riceballs, and only half knew Pokemon was Japanese, but Pokemon is fictional, riceballs suit it better!
Censorship is terrible. What sucks the most is when they edit the entire plot and make it something totally different from what it's intended to be, however. Poor Robotech.
