MacBook Pros (15") also received a bump.

I'm not liking these new prices.

Apple also now sell the wired keyboard without numeric keypad.

Apple are getting a bit cocky with their new prices..?

agreed, the lowest end mac-mini is waaay overpriced.

Not liking the new top end prices. Notice we are nearing £1000 for anything with a screen in most lines.

Mac mini way too overpriced. But i see the change was needed, because if they left the iMacs at the £700 price range then no-one would opt for the mini. Bit disappointed they are really pushing the 24" iMacs, even if they have upgraded the specs on them.

Bad move in my opinion, hardware and prices.

MacBooks have also been given a stealth update in that they can have an optional 128GB or 250GB (I think?) SSD.

The 13" MacBooks are possibly the only part of Apple's range at the moment I see as affordable. I'll be looking to upgrade in about 16-18 months, so there is a *little* hope that the UK economy will have started to recover and Apple include their mid-range consumer again.

I'm most disappointed at the removal of the £700-something iMac, which shaped up nicely with education discount. Mac Mini updates were well overdue and would have been okay value at their previous price points. For a product which had not been updated for 2 years (?), the update value versus the price increase just doesn't correlate.

Argh!

The new Mac Mini and iMac specs are hardly an improvement but their prices sicken me. It almost pays to use Windows now the price gap is so big.

Just as well I bought the iMac when I did, I would never have been able to afford the £949 version, as much as I like Apple, their prices are attrocious.

No significant upgrades that make me regret getting this iMac in December. Mac prices in Canada are much cheaper than they are in the UK :O!

The prices are so bad is it reflects the current exchange rate.

Time to move to Canada! :D I wouldn't mind having one of the new MacBooks, but at the moment it isn't cost effective :P

Time to move to Canada!

Real Estate is also very cheep here;).

When I sell this 20" Aluminum I'll just stick 2GB RAM in it and overclock to 2.66Mhz and then the only real big difference is the graphics card :D.

There looking nice but I really hate the new prices. I may have to sell myself to get the money since I'm saving up for something else lol.

The specs of the 8-Core are to die for.. x

What people do not see is that apple would of put the cost up for some reason, Maybe its the economy or the cost of parts have gone up no one no's but they would not just make them cost more for no reason right?. I think the update are okay they could be better but they made the updates as they fill were needed.

The sad thing is with Apple, their prices, for the foreseeable future will be sky high, and thats just Apple sadly, I guess you really have to save, or be lucky to get a Mac. There wont be many 'price drops' soon tbh.

Welcome to Apple, lol!

I hate the new prices... I guess I will just stick to OSx86 or Windows. OR get a mac mini from ebay (I know it's not really recommended but if it don't work then ill send it back).
