Ranks in donator?

Im talking about like Ranks in donator say if your rank 5 donated £15 or more

You get VIP Features? And like rank 10 VIP + Features?

The whole point of 'donating' is you get nothing 'subscription-wise' from it, just a username that tells people you have, so the ranking idea would make it akin to a subscription by giving features for payment.

As for rep... It would be a pain for Administrators to do it - and would require a sub-forum for donators only to claim their rep, which, in turn, would be a 'subscription-esque' feature...

I know - but the point is that giving someone a subforum in exchange for Donator is still a premium service :(

Yeah, climbing up the ranks and getting something like rep in exchange for money would be considered charging for a premium service like a lot of others have said. Who needs rep anyway! You should be earning it rather than paying for it :P Plus you don't necessarily need lots of green blocks to have a good reputation around here!

I wouldn't be surprised that if we did offer rep as a token of our appreciation, people who previously wouldn't have donated, would just for the rep. There are limits on what we could do to recognise people who have donated or how donators can be distinguished, and coloured names is pretty much the only acceptable thing. You cant distinguish someone as a donator from their rep, so it would be classed as an extra feature in exchange for money.
