Silverchair

Anyone a fan? Not at all new, they've been around since like 96 I think but I only just got into them. They're like two bands in one, their early stuff is really grunge and typically heavier, while the later stuff is lighter, more technical and in my view much better (although many many fans would disagree).

Also for those who do know of them, does anyone know any other bands similar to their later albums?

im not the most knowledgeable person about silverchair, but if i'd compare them to anyone, it'd probably be helmet. helmet was well known for their odd time signatures. they havent been famous in a long time but i think they opened for guns n roses on their tour a few years ago. the original drummer is really good, he has a very distinct style. but he has been in the band battles now for a while.

i've been a fan of them for a few years now, think i heard of them back in '04. They're great at what they do but never seemed to do 'it' completely for me.
