it's great.
but it seems like you've only focused on the empire state stacking because the others look a tad messy.

and add something to the background, maybe american flags? not sure.

This kinda makes me want to post a picture without a mood light because its so hard to stack the other buildings besides the empire state that tall. As a result, I had to make the world trade center skinnier to get more than four stories, and I had to leave black space to make them look relatively big, compared to other buildings I would build on top.

I tried to fill the black space, in both the back of the buildings and the back walls, however, it ruins the illusion of the buildings being big, because the wall is very very very low compared to them.

By cutting the floor area short, I made the sky look huge, rather than what it really is. here ill post a pic of both

As for the flag thing, if I had may way the whole room would be american flags :D However, in my original room I got a lot :( of criticism about having a wall of american flags

hm, it looks awfully messy. i think you would have suited the room more to use something other than area. the tops of the twin towers look really weird. it just really looks like the empire state building is nice and the rest is a big mess.

Well the empire state building is clearly brown irl. I did make the twin towers in mode, which stacked great and I thought looked good, however, I showed it to people and they said to stick with area.

The tops do look weird, my plan was to put area desks on top but theyre expensive in the cata and hard to track down.

I disagree with the claim that the rest looks like a mess, or at least overly messy.

I also don't like how because of the fact that you dont like me you pick on my rooms, and when your friends post some random poorly thought out room youre all OMG BBZ GR8 ROOM

at least tell me how to make it unmessy :s

yeah it was hard to make liberty island an island while keeping the room looking consistent.

i have already said in habbo i don't like this room, theres just something about it thats like urgh.

Well on all of my rooms you make a comment like "IDONTLIKEIT," and usually give no reason... I dont do the same to you.

saying "theres just something about it thats just urgh" isnt really descriptive and saying theres not enough space when when theres giant black space is just nitpicking

so if you have a personal problem or grudge against me I would appreciate it if you take it somewhere else, or give me actual criticism of what you think is wrong and what to do about it.

And I can take criticism, and I change my rooms when people have something productive to say.

If you want me to quote you in every time you make a stupid comment about one of my rooms I'll do it. And if you want me to approach "criticism" in the way you do to your rooms, ill do it too. Its really immature and rude.

If that is your definition of constructive criticism, you have a very ego-based way of criticizing people. Your tone is very rude, and not constructive at all.

You have not said why and how to improve it. And I am not retaliating. If youre calling me needy because I'm looking for a reason for why my room is urgh as you call it, yet you call yourself constructive.

I go back with him a while, and I respected him for being a colleague of mine, however recently he has talked behind my back, calling me a has been, and has been trolling my room posts, and its obnoxious, in case you were wondering why I am including him in this.

I guess he still has a gripe because he never took rejection well :S

i have said numerous times as have other people that the big building looks too wide and doesn't fit in, like its too wide and not long enough it looks like a chode. and the statue of liberty looks too small etc i have said these things to you in game and you know i did you just can't handle the truth. your room isn't the best on habbo hotel, deal with it.

You only gave me criticism after I said on forum that you never gave me criticism. The conversation we had in game went like this:

Me: Hay come see my room wanna know what you think
You: I dont like it soz
Me: Why
You: I dont like the big building it doesnt look right
Me: Whats wrong with it

omg congratulations on being a forum supastar! I'm sorry if other habbos havent been around as long to see about 1000x asian room clones. And when you say youre not the only one to dislike the room, the only other person included in disliking it is your friend, who is equally as rude and egocentric enough to post that they dont like a room, as if their opinion matters. ( Whats the point of posting just to say you dont like it? Are you some designer aficionado? Do you rearrange furniture at ikea? proly not..)

Oh and as for your replica of moulin rouge, last time I checked, it didnt star lucy liu or jackie chan :S It looks like you took one of the many asian restaurant or wedding rooms and just stamped the name moulin rouge on it.

Yeah, so people got bored of my retro NYC room and they told me to make it big. So, I did.

The room comes complete with the empire state building (the tallest stacking you can get, bottom to top), as well as the top of the Chrysler Building, and the Twin Towers. Oh and the statue of liberty.

In my view it dosnt realy look like a city, the towers would be nicer if some mode, and the cobbles and pebbles, with the area make it look more wood / old so i would change it to like roads ect, and whats with the 2 random spotlights and starter lamps, when i look at that it more reminds me of a garden with some towers,

I think I have a pic with the towers in mode, but it doesnt look to consistant.

On the actual buildings the stone that was used looks more areaish.

I did make buildings in the background before, and I might change it back. However, when i do that (with area) the buildings get cought in with the big building, since its illusion stacked so its difficult.

However, I will find a way to make it more city like. I just liked the spotlights on the main landmark buildings because I thought it put focus on them.

so big headed, none of your rooms are "amazing" some are good but not amazing, this one is not as good as the others, and also in game i said to you the big building was far to wide and messy missed that one didn't you?

He's always incredibly rude to me, and he brought himself into it, not my fault. Also his room isnt necessarily really detailed, its a lot of filler.

Anyhow, he made an admittedly pretty room, I cant take that away from him. I made admittedly original rooms, undeniably. They are completely different types of rooms. I don't like how he carries a bias into rating my rooms. Just because they arent rich and full of color doesnt make them ugly

And saying theyre terrible cause theyre messy is stupid. I make them like that for a reason, its gritty and edgy, sorry.

Also, dont quote amazing as if I said I was amazing. Don't make things up. I simply said to say my rooms are bad is uneducated and unsophisticated of you.

I like my rooms, you may not. But to say my creations are BAD is ignorant.

On a better note
I do agree it could be skinnier and I appreciate you showing on the forum the criticism. When you comment for people to see as one of the first posts that you hate the room and dont give a reason, it really sets the tone and ruins the thread, not to mention makes you look shallow.

i'm sorry billy, but i'd just like to point out that making buildings out of bookshelves is hardly "admittedly original". if you want to get technical, i've done that in different rooms 2-3 times over the past five or six years. hardly groundbreaking. no bias.

it's not ignorant to say your room is bad. there are bad rooms and there are good rooms. this stacked building out of bookshelves may have been good a few years ago but i promise that in 2009 it is nothing special and to rely on the "originality" of it to get good reviews is stupid. if you wanted good reviews, you should have made it look nicer because it is no where near original.

finally, to say that a trashy, messy room is "edgy" is just you trying to spin facts. there are loads of messy rooms. no one appreciates them for being "gritty" or whatever - they're messy. you're not some room making god. get over your ego and you will have a much better time interacting with others on the cool rooms forum.

anthony is right; you're unbearable to try to debate with because you think you have an answer for everything; you are always begging the question.

you do realize a giant portion of the views your thread has stems from this argument between you, anthony and myself? that's not appreciation for your room. i never called you needy nor insecure and i also did not imply anything like that. i guess you don't know what "begging the question" means. the point is views and comments don't mean people like your room, that just means they looked at your thread.

that comment i posted on the room ("messy, poorly thought out. . .") was a comment that was agreed with by most of the other posts on the thread. to say i'm rude to say that when there are many other posts saying essentially the same thing is just trying to spin (once again) the situation in your favour.

ps: now that you're digging in to personal comments against me i can only assume that means you know your arguments are faltering in comparison to mine.

Bolded section- I'm not talking about this room silly... Im talking about my over 10 other rooms, which have gotten thousands of views and hundreds of comments (ant not by you and anthony, rofl).

Underlined section- The fact that you're insecure about yourself on a forum is entirely relevent with your eating disorder. You're unhappy with yourself so you need an online game to get approval. And that means ONLY COMMENTING on rooms you have negative things to say, like that poor guy who posted his teen lounge today, which you called "terrible."

Why would you do something like that? Scared that your life is terrible? Scared that your rooms are terrible? Scared that nobody likes you so you have to literally down rank other people's rooms while asking your habbo friends to comment on your own room with positive praise?

Someone's insecure. And you say I'm the one that constantly needs approval.

Personal life is evident through habbo life. Maybe you shouldn't brag about a terrible disorder who has killed hundreds of people, Oh yeah, and hospitalized a real life friend of mine.

don't talk down to me as if i don't know anything about the condition i suffer from. i'm not necessarily bragging about anything as much as i am not ashamed to come forth and admit that yes, this is me. i'm glad you have a real life friend who was hospitalized in the sense that perhaps you understand the intricacies of the condition and how it manifests itself both physically and psychologically. i know i've been in the hospital before and being attached to so many people who suffer from alike conditions i know many others who have been to the hospital or passed on from it. by putting myself out there and being free to admit it publically i am able to connect better to others who share similar experiences and meet others who live in similar situations. shame on you for turning a hand of good faith to other people in to "bragging"!

my point is that thread views and thread posts don't equal people liking your room as this thread demonstrates. his teen lounge was terrible, i'm not the only one on that thread who thinks so. if you look around, yes, i do make positive comments on rooms i like. you are so full of it that i can't be bothered getting in to this any further with you. enough.

ps: for someone who wants to seem sympathetic to the cause, claiming you know someone in real life who was hospitalized because of the condition etc ... i can only imagine what that friend would think if you told them the only thing they were good for is puking and giving head like you said in that post before it got cleared. what? way to to do a total 180 degree turn.
