They do look ruby:

but rubys have a reflective quality which lightens them up, these stars are just a block of blood red.

why change them?

new ones stick out like a saw thumb and are offensive to the eyes.

Should have an option to hide them if they're staying.

I used the best one by a poll vote and then sent to nvr,
These were then adapted and recoloured like 5 times until he and the other AGMS liked them.

Plus, How would you give a star it's "reflective" quality. That would end up resolving in a completely new star design.

Also, it's only a small pixel image under your name. Nothing to worry about :P

i've still not found this vote, looked through the announcements.

oh and this section of the forum is for feedback so don't have a go at me to give a guy a break when i've not even complained before.

This thread wasn't spose to be a complaint anyway, just wanted to know opinions and why they changed.

edit for iconz post: So these aren't the ones people voted for if you kept having to change them? I fail to see why you had a vote if you were just going to change them.

also it may only be stars but due to the colour when you read a thread your eytes just get drawn to them, well that's what's happening to me using non-habbo dark skin.

oh and about reflective quality I was just saying seen as someone showed the comparison.

Was open long enough to get the votes I was looking for :)
Might not of been a poll, but still had the same effect.

They were changed because people started complaining, apparently they were too dark. Nvr didn't like them either. Plus, they weren't actually a ruby colour before :P

EDIT: I use non-Habbo dark skin as well, They draw no more attention to themselves than any other star. I'd understand for the gold stars - they are quite bright.

They're much better than the older ones.

The 'poll' was open for less than a day so you hardly let everyone have their say?

I think you're in a minority Tim, they look good to me and by the looks of it a fair bit of the posters :)

Well this colour is super ugly so expect a hell of a lot of posts from me to pass these levels quick :8

wait i got an idea and i can't edit:

if you're saying people always complain then why not just have a feature to turn off the stars?

kk.

being able to turn of the stars would mean making a load more user groups afaik?

Aye it would.

You seem to be in the major minority, as much as we take advice on board, we're probably not going to change things for just one user :P
