Can I ask how you know he was fired because of the recession? Also what Lucy said aswell :P
EDIT: Oh yes, it is the UK MOD
My name is MOD-Zippy and I am from the United Kingdom (UK).
I have previously moderated on the UK site for 2.5 years and am now moderating on the SG site :)

He was *paid off. He couldn't of been sacked without a reason otherwise he could take them to an employment tribunial.
And ahh well, fair well etc etc.

If he got fired, or perhaps the correct term 'let go', because of the recession - why would they take him on at SG? Sulake runs them all?

Maybe they had enough moderators?
I really liked Zippy, sad to see people like this just go.

But, when you read the first link (http://www.habbo.com.sg/articles/1221-comings-and-goings) it says...
There's some juicy news update this school holidays! Join me in extending a warm welcome to MOD-Zippy who recently joined our Moderation team and a fond farewell to MOD-Bloobelle. Feel free to drop a message in MOD-Zippy's Guestbook, I'm sure he would love to hear from you! :)
In a nut shell, he replaced a former MOD for the SG hotel, so to me would suggest that the UK hotel has the highest amount of moderators (and so it should given it is the most busiest), and that MOD-Bloobelle resigned, thus meaning that moderator needed to be replaced.
Just an idea, though.

Fired is the wrong word, made redundant.
They may be doing a exchange student type deal, where mods go switch hotels for a bit :)
So he's moderating SG from the UK?
So he doesn't meet any SG staff?
