Hi
Considering there are places to discuss web hosting businesses there is no place to discuss any type of business.
My idea is to change the web host title or create a sub forum/edit the description in the web market area on just general business discussion.
Fair enough if you don't agree with the new forum but surely it wouldn't hurt to try it out via new forum or name change/description?
The web host area is always active and people are always talking business in there.
Just thought I'd bring this up as my signature below (business departments) doesn't fit anywhere.
Does anybody agree?

So like Web Businesses? I think people discuss general business stuff in the Discuss Anything forum. If people discuss their little business in the Web Host forum, then it doesn't seem like a problem to change the description and name, it's a good idea :)

Im not really sure on this, because hardly anyone is going to talk about any odd business really. This forum isnt aimed at businesses.
Fair enough the web hosting forum is active but i dont think that a business forum would be, all we might see is just people posting things like so and so business has gone into administration etc. Which even now i can hardly see and threads about it.

Precisely!

I appreciate that this forum is for teenagers and young adults however this forum wasn't really introduced to have a popular technology which is 100% unrelated to habbo, or a popular web host section, that differs the purpose of this forum in the place.
We all know business is becoming very popular with teenagers as there is an increase in demand of business students and entries to business GCSE.

We don't see threads because there is no influence to allow it to happen, and technically if somebody did then it is the wrong forum (potentially).
I'm not exactly saying make a new sub forum (which would be nice). I'm saying more of the lines of changing the title to, as GommeInc stated, Web Businesses or something with a similarity or if not the title, the description.

You just need to look.
I think it's a good idea, not all people have businesses to do with the web so it would be interesting to hear about different businesses.

Yeah, I mean just an edit in the description could work.

It would certainly cause confusion, for those users who consider their Habbo fansite and/or little website their making to be a "business".
Which would cause some much un-needed and useless threads, which would require more moderation.
I just think maybe an edit in the description "and minor business discussion" would be better then making it a full fledged thing.

A habbo fansite is not a business. HabboxForum is not a business nor is other websites such as Tehupload.
You must be trading privately or publicly to be a business.
If somebody thinks their habbo fansite is business then they need to be shot asap.

These are teenagers, most under 17, who are not going to know that.
Business isn't just defined to trading, but can also be defined down to providing and offering services ;)

Then god help this next generation of business. We are all doomed.

What? :S
That is part of trading? Why do everybody think trading is just physical? :S

Well you said TehUpload isn't a business, yet it doesn't have to be a registered business to be a business.
It offers a service, and brings in a small revenue.

I never said you have to be registered to be a business.
They can be many arguments with Tehupload being a business or not.
To be classified as a business you need to:
Service businesses do not produce a physical product but offer a service to consumers. They make a profit by charging for their skills and labour.
You have revenue, from what may I ask? If you say advertisements I'm shooting you in the head. :(

There are a few organization paying for priority access to the TehUpload API, utilizing a "CDN like" infrastructure.

What exactly is that?
Is this offer available public or by request.
A request like how an advertiser would make?
This is off topic btw. Bad people we are.

CDN - Content Delivery Network.
We offer a "cloud storage" solution, meaning we store and hold your data and files (avatars, user uploaded images, etc), and provide you the means to access and modify them.
Saves space on your front.
It's a customized solution that we offer.
