I was playing football earlier with my mates and we both like sprinted to get the ball head on and i got my foot to it and tipped it around him and his foot just went into my ankle (Like if you had boots on the blades showing up into your ankle) and It hurt like **** so I sat out for a while and I seemed to had forgot about it but when we went into the sea it started to hurt and it looks really darkly bruised, swollen, sore and I can't really walk.
Moving my toes or any part of my leg kills and i've took some anti-biotics.

Is it just bruised or just a knock?

I'd get it checked out, it doesn't sound good.

Why did you take antibiotics? They only treat bacterial infections.

If you can't walk, go to the DR's mate.

Simple as.

How's he meant to get there? :P

One thing I thought I should add;

R- Rest it for as long as you can.
I - Pack it with ice.
C - Compress it with a towel or something.
E - Elevate it as much as you can.

Hop ;)

In all seriousness though if it's turned black and it's that painfull no cocktail of pills at home will fix it!

I can't hop, I can't turn my hips without my ankle hurting. Anything connected to my ankle/leg puts me in pain.

My Mum & Dad have put ice on it and deep heat/freeze forgot. They said it could be broken because of the really dark bruising.

I'll get it checked out in the morning.

Erm, Dark bruising? hips hurting? That's broken, Hospital now please. Sounds like you've caught a few nerves, phone a hotline or something if you're not sure but that sounds reallly bad.

Edit;
Yeah, that's definatley broken, I'm not expert but I would say that it is. Hospital asap.

Hospital. You wont be playing football for three months if it's what I'm thinking of, and if it is you wont be kicking a ball at full force for five.

Seconded, if it really is as bad as you're making it out, Expect to be kicking slower and softer. :(

**** sake, if it is broke I will be pissed.

My Dad rung our local hospital (not city) and they said to go to A&E but I really am knackered, in pain and just want to sleep. I'll go there first thing in the morning but I really can't be bothered to get into a car and go do all this at midnight.

Thank god I had my last game of the season last sunday.

Thanks for the help guys, i'm going to go try get some sleep.

You need to get there as quick as you can, leaving it can trap more nerves and then even muscles, which leads to your feet becoming paralysed.

It's broke, I went at 8am this morning and they did a X-Ray and it showed it broke in 2 places. Got a cast and they said I should of gone to A&E straight away lol.
They also said this is a common bone breaker in football.

Just got to rest & thanks guys.

Woo, an update. I have been doing this thing with doctors that helps my ankle everyday.
I go to the hospital and this man massages the ankle, puts it in water and tells me to move it about etc weird with a cast... I only choose this because I am going Skiing this Friday!

He said your fit, healthy and have strong bones. If I keep doing ^ until Thursday he said he will do a check and give me some medication for the pain if it hurts a lot. He said that i'm one of the fastest healing patient he'd seen. Although he told me to rest when i'm not at the hospital.

Crossed Fingers I will be able to Ski, I think physically I can so just for me to keep doing the daily hospital things and I should be fine!
