For £500 you may aswell buy a desktop with better specs and probebly cheaper.

Its for a friend, so I don't really know what games, I know he'll play WoW but anything basically can play that.

Nah he wants a laptop I reccomended him a desktop.

I'm thinking 2.4GHz at a push for £500/£600

It would be okay if you could get cheap computers but are really fast and let you play games like Wow without lag etc.
