Decided to check it out on Wikipedia.
Astrophysics Professor John Koestler (Cage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Cage)) finds that the contents of a time capsule (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_capsule) at his son's elementary school makes predictions of future events, many of which have come true. The predictions lead the teacher to believe the world is ending and that he and his son are involved in the Apocalypse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse).[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowing_%28film%29#cite_note-cage-1) As the film progresses, the characters realize that the world is ending and that they cannot stop it. The second half of the film deals with them coming to terms with this knowledge and then the actual end of the world.

I like these sort of films - looks like it'll be quite good. I'll probably go and watch it at the cinema sometime when it's on.

I thought it was going to be good and it started off good but as it got towards the end it got so far fetched I almost killed myself for wasting 2 hours of my life :eusa_wall Worst ending I've ever seen :/

And also he tries to save people from these things that happen and

they all ******* die at the end anyway

nicholas cage always seems to be perfect for these kind of roles. his voice and attitude just seems to fit. like in National Treasure the way he says all that history knowledgey stuff makes the film awesome.

this film was a huge let down for me. im a big fan of nicholas cage but this film was just utter rubbish, the ending has got to be the worse film ending i have ever seen.
