View Full Version : Pain while lying down
Whenever I'm in bed or anythinh lying down i get a pain around my heart and it makes it feel so bad it feels like i cant breathe, Also my ribs click when i lie down and take big breaths, it feels like somone is flicking me from inside.
It was so loud even my boyfriend could hear it next to me!, So yeah.. Going to doctors soon to find out about it.
I think you''ve broke/Moved a rib and its moves toward another rib there for making it click when you move and when you lye down its pushing your insides so I wouldnt lye down again just incase its poking your heart

Are you overweight? If so don't lie on your back because all your weight leans onto your ribs lungs etc, lie on your stomach.
Sounds like Pleurisy to me. The lining of your lungs is touching the lining of your ribs causing pain and making it hard to breathe. It's caused by a minor infection, possibly flu or maybe even something you didn't notice having!
The doctors will probably suggest a chest x-ray (or should) this will show if it's anything else.
Pleurisy is easy to treat with over-the-counter anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen and is cured effectively in about a week.

Do you think about the day when you lie down? That could give you high blood presure :O!
Lol, no. I am definately not overweight! I went to doctors, He said one of your muscles could be twitching and 'twitching' against my rib/heart causing pain and because I am aware of it it makes it worse if you know what i mean.
If it isnt better by sunday he said to go back!

Oh, I had pulled a muscle before in my back and I felt that pain and it winded me if I tried to move. I was stuck laying down in my bed for 5 extra hours :(
Hopefully it goes away soon!
