TELLY host Kate Silverton got shirty yesterday after her co-star made fun of her frumpy blouse.
The BBC Breakfast presenter, 38, first became miffed when Bill Turnbull, 53, called the mumsy top “a work of art” on the live show.

She retorted: “All you have to do is choose your ties, all right? It’s a little bit complicated for me and I’m trying my best.”

Then at the show’s close Bill said Kate would have “another marvellous blouse for us to admire” today. He added: “Don’t mock the smock.”

Kate then sarcastically told viewers: “Thank you for your lovely emails” before turning to Bill as the credits rolled and playfully waving her finger.Youtube clip of it:

Did anyone else see it? It was on BBC Breakfast. I remember watching it, pretty funny :D

Thread moved by Garion (Forum Super Moderator): Despite The Sun's interesting article, it cannot be considered "World News" and is therefore more suited to "Discuss Anything".

It wasn't as bad as people made it out to be... For a change, The Sun didn't over-exaggerate :S I thought it was a nice blouse to be honest :P And she didn't snap, she just counter-attacked in a very mild form...

She does wear some right crap. I think all the female news presenters/weather girls do.

I guess they do have to wear something different every day more or less and it can get difficult. Still, the BBC news crew especially needs a better stylist if they have one already.

I don't see what the big deal is here at all, no one snapped. It was just some friendly jokes. I can't see why this even made it into the paper
