Yes so as part of the WWF Earth Hour thing you could of switched of your lights for an hour (20.30 until 21.30.) It was in the Habbo articles and we had this presentation in school about it. But yh, I couldnt turn them off because I have a 1 year old little baby and I looked out of the window and everyones lights were on lol. Anyway did YOU turn the lights off?

Yes, my eyes are hurting though. Turned 8 lights off... kinda shows you how much you use. Although there are 7 of us so we kinda need a big house and a lot of light to live.

My lights are of from when I go to bed to when I wake up, approx 8-9 hours each night. Thats better than some poxy 1 hour every time someone wants to make a stupid event

No as the whole Climate Change story is fairytale, and although most of you believe in it now, in around 20 years time it will eventually fall away and another "we're all going to die" story will emerge.

Besides, whether your lights are on or off the gas/coal/oil is still being burnt in the powerplant to turn their turbines to generate electricity so it really makes no difference what so ever.

It does, only a bit but we will run out off it all in around 70 years. And I dont want my kids living in a world without oil :(

Based on the current intake and number of wells that are being exploited, we are predicted to run out in around 70 years. However, we only use around 1/3 of each well we discover as at the moment it is more economical to move onto the next wells rather than develop the technogly to exploit that one futher. Also the future is nuclear, if in government I would switch 100% to nuclear tommorow as its the most reliable energy source around and it is baffling why we continuously decide to rely on countries such as Iran and the Russian Federation for our power, both of whom could switch the western world off in a heartbeat.
