Hai

Basiclly I have some files that I'd like to compress into one WinRAR folder that I could put on say RapidShare.

But when I create a new WinRAR archive or Zip Archive I have a folder in it which is called "..." and when I open it I notice it is my programme files.
Is it meant to be there, how can I delete it, or will it show up when I finally compress all the files?

+REP awarded to all useful answers.

Thanks,
Ardemax

It just means "go up to the next level" its not a folder or anything like that... nor is it part of the archive.

If they also use winrar then ofc it will show up. Although it will take them to where ever their RAR archive is located, not your program files.

oh, then erm how do I get rid of it?
I mean when I open winRAR its there in the first place, just ".." and a folder and I can't delete it

How would I compress the files at the end, when im ready to put them for download?

Compress the files, upload it, it's fine and nothing will happen, it's only the files you have compressed in the archive.

Look, just follow this guide and everything will be fine.

1. Right click on your desktop
2. Click on New
3. Select Winrar Rar archive
4. Name the .rar file
5. Drag and drop the files onto the .rar you have just made

Done. Now upload it

Don't you need to compress it?

Right, Select all the files with CTRL and click, Right click, Add to Archive.rar

Can I ask what you are doing exactly?
