Right im going on holiday to delhi [india]
I want to go from

Birmingham >> Delhi
Flight = United Emirates and it stops at Dubai international airport for 2 hours.

I want to stop at dubai for 1 one day and then carry on to delhi.

How would I do that?

Ive looked at buying seperate flights but its way to expensive.

Choose separate flights. Not a transit. :)

If your trip to a place is 3 months + then you will need to apply for your Visa.

Not always. For example, in Australia you need to apply for a visa even if you're there for a day (an ETA visa). But in New Zealand for example, you can stay there for up to 6 months visa free. Just not sure about India :S
