Due to the amazing success of Earth Hour on Habbo and your overwhelming response to the recent Environmental Poll we feel compelled to stay on the green bandwagon and take it one step further.
As 81% of you are concerned about the environment Yobbo has decided to harness solar energy to power our local Australian Habbo servers. Although the details are still being worked out, things are progressing quickly and Yobbo plans to have Habbo AU 100 per cent solar-powered by the end of April.
Like any environmental change this requires some sort of trade-off and it is quite likely in the early stages that during peak times, access to Habbo will have to be rationed. Access in the daytime shouldn’t cause any problems but during the evening (and when the sun isn’t shining) there may be some power issues.
For this reason we need you to nominate your preferred days and times when you normally access Habbo. In the event that we have to ration access to the Hotel we will aim to give everyone their preferred time slots on a first come, first served basis.
