So whos going to be watching? Me being a big dragonball fan, ill be watching the streams while its being aired :eusa_danc Funimation did a remaster aswell but its diffrent to this. Funimation restored some of the colour and cropped it so its widescreen. Where as Toei has remastered it to HD and have done selective cropping. But bleh i dont mind.


1st episode is gonna have scenes from the bardock special and freeza i read somewere o well. not long to go now ^.^

Yea im not a patient person tho xD so i watch a crappy stream of One Piece airing on tv. Watching japanese adverts are fun tho xD only annoying thing is it goes

Wow, Japan's commerical broadcasting channels must be in a state of crisis to show so many adverts. The only anime I've watched raw is Bleach. That was after the fillers ended. Watching raws without knowing Japanese spoils the fun in a way. Well, to me anyway.

The new opening sounds pretty good from what I've heard, although it was a pretty bad quality video. Totally has the Dragon Ball vibe though.

Also, AasaSubs are pretty bad, so it's probably best to stay away from them. Bad translation and horrible fonts. SD Project are pretty good most of the time, and DBZ Renaissance seem to be a new subbing group dedicated to subbing Dragon Ball Kai only, so it might be worth waiting for their subs.

Do you know in the last episode of Dragonball GT. Piccolo dies and goes to heaven, he requests to be sent to hell though to save Goku and gives up his freedom for Goku to be free, but he never was saved from it cause this was all in the last episode.

No subbers are that fast. It even takes Dattebayo atleast 12 hours. Most subbers take a couple of days, plus the karaoke needs translating for the first and only time on the first episode, so that adds to the time it takes as well.

Shinsen managed to sub the first episode of Fullmetal Alchemist in under five hours... so I guess some subbers are that fast. :P Although they didn't do the karaoke and there are some mistakes in the subtitles, and they overlap each other in the opening, ending and when two people are speaking at the same time. If they were to fix all those and do the karaoke it would have taken them longer.

It'll take longer for Dragon Ball Kai to get subbed because it isn't being done by a popular group like Shinsen. :(

Watched id and was good they cut about 2 episodes into the 1st ep. tho they did add in scenes from the bardock special. So next epsiode will move on alot faster i can see the second episode will run to near the end of the raditz fight. since i heard he dies in ep 3

I enjoyed GT as something to watch but I don't consider it canon just a giant filler series o_O. Although I was pissed when Vegeta hit SSJ4 without SSJ3.

Yes i knew thats all we were getting because remaster only means they clean it up and make the colours better xD and some other stuff. plus ive been getting the funi sets. They said the OP + ED were being newly done not remastered so meh. i know alot of people were disapointed but people should learn to read xD

i have most the films. have brolys coming in post now, All i need is.. fusion reborn/wrath of the dragon and i have them all :D and just need season 9 to have all of Z. Also have the trunks and bardock specials. Hoping they release the OP and DB OVA's

Fusion Reborn is a great film and Wrath of the Dragon isnt that bad either.

Is there anything more ownage than Gogeta? I think not. Jannenba is pretty solid himself though.

All the voices are redone. and retain the same voice actors, minus roshi and tein's because there both dead. And yea it would have been nice but that would require more effort from toei lol. Im happy with this, i would prefer a new series rather than a remake of Z. Of course if there was a new series Toriyama should direct it. dont want another GT.

But yes. there was a rumour going around that it was only going to last 100 eps. dont see how they can squeeze 294 eps into 100. hopefully its false.

He says he likes GT over Z, Wow he must have really bad taste. Reason people hate GT is because it was rushed, crappy, and toriyama had nothing to do with it. Most people hate fillers. Reason people hate Evolution is because they americanised it and made crappy choices. sure they can change stuff to make the movie work but seriously. Yes its an adaptation but a pretty poor one. I've always knwon about journey to the west and know everyone is based on that not db. Im not shallow, petty, nit picking. i just hate **** adaptations. I agree Ryukzaki if you look at the stae of him he really needs to give himself a shake. I didnt mind GT at some points, well I enjoyed the fights really. It was so poor it could only produce one movie also. I really loathe that guy as he thinks he knows everything about the dragonball franchise. He hates the dark knight, now I really hate him.

So i watched episode 3.

Start of the Raditz fight and goes straight to Goku dying. That was about.. 3 chapters. So they are pacing it out fast. in the 1st 3 episodes they have covered 10 chapters which is the 1st volume. So if they keep up with this pace im sure they will reach the 100 episodes that was predicted.

Now some things that have been pointed out on various forums.

Blood has been heavily edited out. This might be because its being shown at 9am. But One piece is on after it at 9:30 and is also made by toei, the last ep someone was shot and blood was everywere xD so i dunno why they done that.

When Goku has Raditz in the full nelson and Piccoro does his Makkankosappo. You clearly see it goes through goku yet when hes falling and then laying there dying its just a bruise mark.

Something good about the episode was, the scene with Nappa and Vegeta. It was redrawn. (So where other parts but this was actually good) They redrew it. You can tell because its not fuzzy and the camera isnt shaking. Basically to correct the mistake that happend during Z where Vegeta's colours where wrong.

I Guess Its just how remaster has lines and the drip of blood where as the redrawn was nice and smooth

Haha pretty good nice to see the Kamehameha in action. You could really tell apart the redrawn scenes but man did they look good. Looking forward to the Over 9000 scene the most.
