View Full Version : Runescape section falling to bits
It really is becoming one of the worst sections of hxf. There is always at least 1 person being bullied, nothing is taken seriously and most of the regulars spam 99% of the time. I think that something needs to be done.

But thats the thing, its turned into a massive 'funny' section where nearly every post you read involves some kind of humor aswell as being 100% sarcastic at the same time. A bit of fun is obviously great but not as much as this. It's a place to discuss runescape, not joke about it...

Fine, i agree that its bad because its ONLY funny, but you need a bit of humor in it.
It does need to get some element of seriousness in it again

Yes and I do enjoy reading quite a lot of the posts because of them being so funny, but I miss the seriousness of it.

Theres not really any need for it to be serious anymore. Most questions that can be asked are easily looked up in google in about 2 minutes. Trading is few and far between due to the introdution of the exchange. Not to many people pk any more and when they do it is less likely for them to look around the forum for people rather just get them off their friends list and stuff.
So prety much we don't really need a runescape section anymore - the only things that really get posted anymore are goals and achievements and the news section, neither of which are really needed. Theres also the trading section which is pretty much just between the game and other games now or buying/selling members - all of which is against the rules anyway.
The tutorial section is pretty much all stuff you can find on other sites anyway so it's not particularly needed - not that it is used that often anyway. Then the main section is pretty much just junk that really has no point behind it mainly anyway and people could just chatabout in irc or clan chat.

No. Nothing is serious there. I try to post replies to threads, ontopic replies, and it goes off topic about what I posted :P

Yes, I'm getting sick of all the crap in the Runescape section. IceNineKills + Arch + Hated seem to have their own little group, and they want nobody else in that section. Anyone who tries either is bullied (Like I Was), or has to talk like they're 5 years old so they fit in with the crowd. I think the whole section should be removed, with just the irc staying. As it was stated before, any questions that need to be asked can be googled, therefore there's no need for the section anymore.

It has always been in that state, I'm afraid we will always have idiots in this life time, especially on this forum :(

i reported a thread about 2 hour ago because the thread and title was "i need a shave" because his character had a beard, i don't see how that was very helpful

No, that thread wasn't helpful, it was complete spam, just like this new one brought up by the same user. OH well for the spam free part of it :(

The only reason people think it's 'ruined' is because it is so casual and laid back there. People know eachother so much better than in other areas of the forum hense the jokes/sarcasm.

To be honest you have brought this on yourself. You don't understand that the people in the forum know eachother very well, and you don't understand their jokes/ sarcasm. You then try to retaliate and be smart but it really isn't the way to go...

Nobody bullies you. People just stick up for themselves and retaliate when you constantly look down on people, correct their mistakes, take everything so seriously or just criticise. You just haven't done yourself any favours and have blown things out of proportion.

Don't you dare try to turn that around, I know a few SMODs and Admins can prove that damn quick. If it was me, I'd have a warning or infraction by now.

and if it was me, so would I. I think you just need to chill out a bit. The arguments generally start when you quote somebody and try to give a smart 'ass' (in your words) response.

Fourth one: In reply to someone attacking me off topic and avoiding filter.
Fifth one: Had 5 or 6 quotes above that, which you couldn't quote into that quote. It was in reply to someone saying that they weren't posting off topic.
Sixth one: In reply to someone saying they should petition to get me removed from the Runescape section because I post alot.

If you didn't feel the need to post so much (800 posts in 2 months) I think that you will find that things would be much different. If you see a pointless post, just ignore it. There's no need to drag it on or comment on it.

The fact is you respond to things that don't need to be responded to. Just ignore it- you only end up posting off topic and 'breaking the rules' yourself.
If that's and you continue being as you are then don't moan and give everyone the impression that the whole world is against you.

If the posts are aimed at me, I'm going to respond. As stated before, I'm not going to sit here and let you all attack me.
And once again, if you feel my posts are spam, off topic, or breaking a forum rule, REPORT THEM.
