I bought this a few days ago and tbh im not impressed by it. When I go to do a full virus scan it gets to 98% then tries to fry my computer by using 89% of my RAM (2GB) and has all 4 processor cores on 90%ish, so I cant do anything else while having a virus scan running as its too slow.
I tried doing a virus scan today and left it on while I went to work, I got back and it was stuck on 98% after 3.5 hours!! AVG managed to do a full scan in about 2.5 hours.
Is this a common problem or a bug or something?
Should I just ask for a refund?
Also firefox keeps crashing, web pages load slower on all browsers, WLM09 keeps freezing, computer takes twice as long to log on all since I got Kaspersky.

Thats very strange, I would try reinstalling it because I use it without any problems.
Sounds like some conflicting software?

Yes, Uninstall ALL other products, and just have Kapersky, I used it when I was looking for a program to use, I rated it second, only to AVG.

I love my Kaspersky and have never had any problems with it. Maybe try reinstalling it and check no other virus scanning stuff's on your computer, as others have already said.

I left it running a virus scan and went to work again for 5 hours this time and once again it was still running at 98% when I got back :|. I have uninstalled it and requested a trial version from then which I will then use my key for

Exact same problem here. When it updates or does a scan, boom: 80 - 100% CPU usage. Wow.

ESET SS was good but I didn't feel like I had total control over it if you know what I mean?

The whole reason I got this one is because its supposed to be like one of the best internet security suites out. If it doesn't work im going to get a refund. Im not paying for crap.

If im honest, it isn't crap, its the fact something on your machine is clashing with it.
