As an awesome member of the community I feel it's my duty to let you know this...

I'm not sure how many of you are on Virgin Media's 2mbps internet package but basically they've removed the package (http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/service.do?id=2) and they're not upgrading you to the now minimum package of 10mbps unless you ring them up.

Just ring Virgin Media up and enquire why you're on 2mbps and ask about how it's been removed from the site and you want 10mbps. Some friends at school got this upgrade for free but we've ended up paying an extra 50p a month but it's easily worth it :P

The upgrade for me was imminent, as soon as my dad agreed the extra 50p I was disconnected on MSN, reconnected to the internet and it was 10mbps.

Pester your parents and ring them up =]

I was on the 10mb before, so shouldn't we get a price discount? Especially if you guys are still paying the fee for 2MB and we are paying the fee for 10MB yet we are both getting the same speed.

I thought that everyone on 2mb was upgraded to 4mb then 10mb. Then everyone on 10mb was upgraded to 20mb. Not sure though.

10 MB should go to 20MB as we are special then.

My dads work pays for the internet anyway so I'll bribe my dad into going up to 50.

Wow, they're taking you from behind without any lube. I would suggest changing if you're getting worse than a 2mb connection.

Not really compared to me, I'm on an 18mb connection and get 60 kbs down and hardly any upload. Live in France by the way.

Sucks here.

Well logic would dictate that it's when the speed test doesn't show 2 Mb/s, but instead it shows closer to 10 Mb/s.
