>...the character with the most lines and screen-time in the second Gurren-Lagann movie is a tie between Simon and Nia.
>Simon and Nia are the stars of the movie. It's their struggle, their story and their adventure. "How will the battles of Simon and Nia be tied together?"
>Lagann-hen's story will focus on Simon & Nia's relationship, even more than the TV series
>This time, Messenger Nia will be more impressive than in the TV series
>In the TV series, Rossiu was Simon's main "antagonist" during the 3rd arc, in the movie Rossiu will be more of an obstacle for Simon and Nia's relationship
>In the first movie, Yoko was given a bigger, more prominent, role than she had in the TV show. In the second movie, Nia will be given this bigger, protagonist role.
>Lagann-hen has so many new scenes that you can call it "an all new story with some old scenes to fill in blanks" rather than "a recap movie with some new scenes to make it exciting" like Gurren-Hen
>In her blog, Yukalyric, Yukari ***ui said that Nia is, not taking into account pure mecha-action scenes, the character with the most character-focused new scenes in the movie.
>The climax will be the consummation of Simon and Nia's love.
>After the release of Yoko's Music Video, they'll begin the production of a Music Video for Nia.

Also, something that might excite chris,

From the recent Gurren-Lagann Radio Show:

Tetsuya(Simon's VA): Nia fans should buy Yoko's Music Video if they one want a Music Video for Nia too.
Takeda(Producer): Not really. We are going to make one regardless of how Yoko's sells.
Tetsuya: WHAT?
Takeda: I probably shouldn't have said that, right? Regardless, we're indeed planning to make a Nia Music Video AND a second season of Parallel Works.

Meh, I don't care for Nia. Although I guess it's the only other angle they could have used for the movie, since Simon and Nia's relationship is probably the only thing left to expand upon. I'm not expecting the movies to exceed the series, I just want to watch them because it's Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! If Kittan's Giga Drill Breaker isn't in the second movie I will RAGE!

Also, what part was suppost to excite me? :P What is this Yoko Music Video they're on about? Is it just one from Parallel Works or is there something I haven't seen? Gurren Lagann is becoming the new Evangelion. Gainax are already milking it. Parallel Works doesn't need another season.

By the way, you heard the latest Haruhi news Nail? The first series is currently being re-aired in Japan, and recently in an interview with TV Saitama it was reported that the re-airing will have 28 episodes, instead of the original 14. Aparrently the staff of TV Saitama don't know the order of the episodes and when the new episodes will be aired though. Another troll or the real deal?

I thought you liked the Parallel Works.

And yeah I've known for quite awhile, it was announced on the 1st of April so everyone thought it was a joke but looks like it's going ahead.
Might watch, not really a fan of the sub voices, nor the airing order, prefer chronological.

Have to much on my plate with watching Gin Tama at the moment anyway.

I like it, but's thats all. I don't think it needs another season. :P

It's airing in chronological order. Chronological is lame though. First you get the story, then a ton of filler like episodes one after the other. Theres no balance between the two.

Please don't watch Gintama. If you hate on the series it will ruin my life.

Didnt the girl die?

...and that's why the movies are a re-telling of the series.

I do, the Death Note parody has been the best so far, yet episode 58 actually starts a plot.

Jesus Christ this is practically the first plot in this thing lol

Yeah, episode 58 is the start of the Benizakura arc. Get ready for some epic action! Don't forget the Amnesia arc though, that also had a longer plot than usual. The series has quite a few arc's once you get past episode 58. The creator stated in the manga that was the point he wanted to start being a bit more daring with the storylines and characters in the series, because he believed that up 'til then Gintama was only successful because it was riding on the coattails of a Shinsengumi drama that was currently airing which started around the same time Gintama did.

You on about that sukiyaki pot episode? That was brilliant. :P I could never choose my favourite parody though - there are so many! Episode 50 sure had an awesome amount.
