Throne approaching 80 CS mark

The Throne is now approaching the 80 CS mark from what I am others are now seeing all over the hotel, so it made me remember when I first joined in early 2005 the Throne was around 18 CS. It is probably the rare we all aim to get once in our 'Habbo lives' and the problem now seems to be that it will end up that many new habbo players will never get one like we did, due to the price rising around 20 CS per year.

I remember when I was offered one at Habboween 2005 for 9 CS and I declined, due to the fact it appeared as if they were to come out.

I also remember how long they hovered at the 30 CS - 35 CS mark and Purple Dragon Lamps' were then 70T so that works out at 30x70= 2,100 CS which in todays price (lets say the Throne is 80 CS) that is 26T + 20 CS

What are your memories of the Throne and what price do you first remember them at? + have you ever even owned one?

I remember it, like you, around 18CS at the time, when the whole "scare' was that it was going to come out.

Then it hovered around 30-40 (mainly 38-39CS) for ages, and now it's up to almost 80.

I've owned one.. and still have it. :P

I remember when HC first got introduced. And people would trade thrones for about 4HC, because everyone wants HCs. I also remember when there was an error, which lead to thrones and other supers being released in the catelogue for a few minutes. Its amazing to see how much they have increased in value. And with people leaving habbo, and keeping their stuff in storage... They slowly become harder to get. So theres every reason to expect them to keep increasing.

Its a great peice of furni. I love it. Ive had many in my years on Habbo. Havent got any atm. Its also quite interesting how it became so much more desired that the other 'Ione Gifts'. It was always more popular. But now it makes the other two look worthless.

I remember joining and it was around 18CS as you said you did, I first got myself one when they was around 25CS and then they rose a lot. I hate thrones and I don't know what the big deal is about them but I can see them hitting 100CS one day.

Yeah, it is crazy though. If most classic supers continue to stay over the 1T mark though then it will be alright, the only worry will be if classics start to fall under the 1T mark as then it would lose a lot of buyers who would normally buy to buy a Bird Bath or something else.

I've owned 6 at one time, was fun :P But I also remember when the Purple Drag was at 70T. Or was it the Sky Drag? Then I left for about 2 years, came back on and they were 20T :O

80 HCs is astonishing.

Mid 2003 - My first throne I traded 90 credits of normals and got scammed. All my normals didn't fit in the trade box, and sadly I was to trusting, and it took me two days to persuade the two scammers involved to let me have my throne lol. But I got it ;)

Not long after I traded 2 throne sofas for a throne, what an achievement that was haha. So that must of been around 4 HCs I think back then or thereabouts.

My friend gave me 2 thrones once. I remember I was able to buy a purple ICM and I had a dino egg once because of how those thrones set me up lol but I don't have them now.
I remember when they used to be about 40cs+ or so I think.

Congratulations, and a good tip for Thrones (if you don't trade much) is to wait until they are fairly stable at a whole number (60, 70, 80 etc) and usually they will go to something like 65 CS then drop back to 60 CS, well what you do is say you bought at 60 CS, when it reaches 65 CS sell it, then it will drop back down again to 60 CS, buy another for 60 CS and carry on that sort of cycle. Not a great result but an extra 5 CS from doing basically nothing isn't bad now is it. :)

I remember they went for 15 hc which was WOW at the time. I bought all mine for 18 hc though but then I got permed. When I finally got unpermed it was around 65 hc. Now there 80ish pathetic imo

The first throne I got was near end of 2006. I became a Rare Values Reporter somewhere in 2007. I think the throne was about 38CS when I became a Rare Values Reporter.

I don't like risking rares too much though, as I had a gold pillow when it was super, a couple of months before it was released, and I would have lost everything if I had kept it. :P I wish I had bought one now, would have made loads of profit lol.

Ive had so many habbo accounts in my life i joined when i was about 7/8 yrs old i think. i remember in late 2004 buying 4 rooms full of thrones which i nought for 10 cs each. theyve become more popular since then. there gonna get so expensive one day like you said no ones gonna be able to afford them basically.

I remember i got some when i won a gold nelly years ago in a halloween story writing competition. Back then they were worth a fair bit so i sold it. I eventually ended up giving most of the stuff away before quitting the following year, only to return.

On United States hotel, I just looked and their Throne is 630.0 CS, and their highest rare is something like 1,200 CS - it makes our market look small, but I guess our market is much larger.

Like Dan said I can remember when people thought that Callie was either going to release the DJ Deck, the Disco Sign (both super rares at the time) or the throne and the throne went down to about 5hc at one point. I remember buying one for 7hc and selling for 9hc, I thought I was a proper trader then lol. But ye, the disco came out and I think thats when I recall around the time the throne started to go up in price where it then seemed to settle again at around 30hc-35hc.s

You got that bit wrong, that was a different time when it was between the Disco Sign, Habbo Turbtable and Golden Record - the Disco Sign was released. The Throne was at risk at Habboween 2005 when Callie hinted to release some rares in a poll for 1 hour each, the Throne was on the list and people thought it was going to be one of those that came out, thus it dropped a lot. Of course it didn't come out, other rares such as the Holo-girl came out for an hour each and hardly effected their values.

I dont see why people worry about thrones going down, we all know theyre going to go back up eventually.
