To be honest I never thought I'd ask for help importing a CD but here goes...

Basically I just can't import the CD, 'The Boat That Rocked', I've tried it on many computers and with iTunes, WMP, VLC etc but still no luck, they all have the same problems. It's a brand new disk, no scratches etc and works fine with CD Players just not computers.

This is what iTunes shows on the 'Import CD':

And then when I import it to the library...

I wonder whether it's some sort of hideously strong DRM protection which prevents computers ripping it but surely VLC would be able to handle that as it can play virtually anything?

And as for the disk being damaged I find that unlikely especially as it plays fine in CD Players.

+rep for a solution =]

Try EAC. The iTunes mp3 encoder sucks. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

VLC sucks. Just putting that out there.

VLC is epic for watching stuff, not so much listening to music.

Go to the itunes settings and make sure the settings are correct.
