Account Deletion?

I was just on the HHT and this was on one of the pages:


ACCOUNT DELETION

We do not delete accounts on request.

If you no longer wish to use an account you can take all your furni off it, delete all rooms and spend all your credits. The account will then be removed the next time Habbo clear out unused names.

We never delete accounts with furni items, credits or accounts that have been recently accessed.

Since when did this happen and has it actually happened to anyone yet?

The last time they did a mass name clearout was 1st December 2005. Before then it was an annual occurance but they seem to have stopped thereafter.

There's so many names I would want lol.

Actually there was some proof that it's going to happen bewteen Dec 24 - Jan 8 of '09-'10.

it happened in 05.

if the account you want has last logged in before 2005 (christmas day i think it was) then I doubt it will be deleted next time either so you probably won't get it.

i don't see how this is news though.

I think they clean out every 2 years during spring/summer "Spring Cleaning"

but hey, even if loads of names free'd up, people would still take them as clones so it's really pointless. Althought It's good for the hotels performance or whatever

I know it's deleted because 1) I know the login 2) It is registered to my real email address. (when you ask for a list of accounts)

This should be better. Because whenever you search and see if a name is taken, it's like taken and they havnt logged in in say 54 months.
