Basically, my laptops screen is loose. The hinge on the left isn't tat well connected anymore, is there anything I can do to like stiffen it up?

The screw is encased in plastic, no way to tighten it.

No way to 'pop' the plastic off?

Sorry, I had a Dell Inspiron 5150, and the motherboard broke three times, + class action lawsuit against dell to get it fixed. I would never go with Dell again.
Anyways:
Actually buddy i used your video as a guidline worked perfectly for my laptop and its a new model Inspiron 1525. So Thanks!

Hey, I have a dell.,.... and theres a slice of plastic, which hooks over the bracket of the screen that you can take off by like puishing up the side bit with a screwdriver or whatever. Then push your screen back as far as it will go and it will lift off, leaving the screws visible!
I had the same problem :)
Good luck on fixing
